Refrigerator & Freezer cool properly but there is an unusual amount of humidity within the refrig. The crisper drawers have controls on them but placing them in any position results in the same thing; lots of moisture on fruits vegetables etc. can you help me?

How many cubic feet is my Kenmore refrigerator, model number 106.59963804 please?

Question edited to add a few uppercase letters as needed.

Some Coldspot 106 models feature in-door ice and water dispensers, which allow users to choose between cubed or crushed ice and chilled water.

The refrigerator includes about 15.3 cubic feet of space and has glass shelves; on some models, these slide out for easy access. The unit also includes convertible vegetable crisper and meat drawers and covers for the same. The drawers have their own temperature controls, and the crisper drawer includes a humidity controller. A shallow inserted vegetable tray completes the crisper drawer, adding space to store delicate vegetables above heavier ones.

The freezer is around 5.4 cubic feet and includes wire storage bins and baskets; on some models, these tip out to improve access.
Both doors, the crisper, and the ice/water dispenser each include a light bulb. The dispenser uses a heavy-duty 10-watt bulb, and the other bulbs are all 40-watt appliance bulbs.

My crispers are freezing my produce

Hello Laura,

Most competent REPAIR folks will tell
you (honestly) the VERY BEST thing you can
do is find a safe place for your food...
EMPTY YOUR REFRIGERATOR out...
POWER REMOVED and With doors wide open
allow it to defrost COMPLETELY (72 hours).
Be prepared for your DEFROST Pan to overflow
(( possibly bath towels + move away from wall )).
Something as simple as an ICE Cube stuck
in your chute tube or door... or a pizza box
hold the door open a TINY bit can cause HUGE
frost problems...
FROST will block AIR FLOW...
Air flow is the HEART-BEAT of every REFRIGERATOR - FREEZER

Use NO HEAT...
You can speed the process with a ROOM FAN
but remember even a MODEST amount of HEAT can destroy the plastic parts inside your Refrig/Freezer.

If the situation recurs..
You have a DEFROST system failure
( but that is unlikely because your symptoms
would be a WARM refrigerator section... The FREEZER would SEEM adequate ( for a while )).

I hope you give this a TRY before hiring
the Samsonite (like) GORILA .. to abuse your frig.

(( in my Good luck & happy hunting

FREEZER COOLING OK BUT FRIDGE LOW COOLING

Remember that most all refrigerators only have cooling to the freezer... the refrigerator depends on stealing some of that cold to be cool, so here's my top 3 guesses...
Cause 1 The defrost heater is defective, so frost accumulates on the evaporator coils, and the coils will become plugged with frost causing the airflow through the coils to be restricted, and the refrigerator not to cool. Check the evaporator coils to determine if they are frosted over. If the evaporator coils are frosted over, test each component of the defrost system after clearing any restrictions to the cooling fan and defrosting with a hair dryer.
Cause 2
The evaporator fan motor draws cold air over the evaporator coils and circulates it throughout the freezer. If the evaporator fan is not working, the freezer or refrigerator will not cool adequately. To determine if the evaporator fan motor is defective, try turning the fan blade by hand. If the fan blade does not turn freely, bench test it for function and use a multimeter to test the motor windings for continuity. If the windings do not have continuity, (very odd) replace the evaporator fan motor.
Cause 3
Damper Control Assembly The air damper control opens and closes to let the proper amount of cold air into the refrigerator compartment. If the damper does not open properly, it won't let enough cold air into the refrigerator. Check the damper control to determine if it is broken or stuck closed or that an inadvertent bump has shut it off to the refrigerator compartment

Why are vegetables freezing in crisper?

There is a control on refrigerator that controls the amount of cold air that is directed from freezer to refrigerator section. Locate that control and lower the amount of cold air going into refrig.

Amana bottom freezer model #BX21TW purchased in 1996

this particualr refrig is notorious for this. check your controls ( your freezer control as well set to 4 max) any higher and the refrig is running longer, generating more cold then needed, behind the left hand crisper is a few slots( the fresh air return) by default the coldest spot in refrig, i usuallly would reccomend to my cust not to keep high water or thin walled vegies in there such as carrots cukes tom and lettuce, perfect beer and fresh /frozen defrosting meat to be though, if you ever looked at the newest bottom freezers they've pushed up the drawers and added a deli pantry, running the width of frig

Jenair model JCD2389DEW not cooling on fridge side

The air ducts may have frozen over the air blows in through the louveres by the thermostats. There is also a return air duct on the side of the refrig behind the crisper drawers. Both need to be clear for air to be circulated proper
