    Mapinstall recognizes my IQue 3600 but Map source and web Updater does not. I run on Windows XP. It seems that Map Source cannot read the USB interface to the cradle. Do I need a usb driver?

I downloaded Track Conduit_23 from Garmin website. Now I can download Tracks from my Ique 3600 to Mapsource. Only track box is highlighted. Waypoints in the Ique still cannot be accessed. Do we need additional software for that?

Are you running Vista? If so, contact Garmin for a download that allows the maps to be loaded.

Is there a way to use ique 3600 with windows 7? ique does not syc.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 and the iQue did not work. There is no USB driver and as far as I know there isn't going to be one. However, I did get it working by installing Windows XP mode and the Windows Virtual Machine on my XP system. You need to check if your computer can run XP mode and there are Microsoft tools to do that. After you get XP mode installed and running, there will be a virtual XP window on your desktop. Plug the iQue in its cradle and plug it in to the USB port. Use your iQue setup CD to install the Palm desktop in XP as you normally would. At some point, you have to tell XP to attach your iQue to the USB port. Near the XP title bar, there is a USB pull-down menu. Use this to attach the device. It will ask for a driver. Just say to use the Garmin-supplied driver. Wait until this finishes successfully. Before trying a sync, open the Palm desktop and go to Hotsync/custom and change everything you can to "handheld overwrites desktop" and save this. Push the hotsync button on the cradle. If it doesn't connect, go to the USB pull-down and click attach. It should work!

IQue 3600 won't synch with new laptop with Vista

As far as I know there are no iQue USB drivers that work for 64-bit Windows. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and my iQue is not recognized. No solution so far! I use my XP machine to synch.

IQue3600 maps unavailable

You can get City Navigator 2008 CD from your local Garmin dealer. Cost around $100.
It updates via MapSource program and USB connection to IQue 3600.
Do not get "NT" maps as 3600 does not understand "NT" compression

IQue 3600 sim card problem

from Garmin:
Question: Why wont the PC recognise my the SD card in my iQue 3600?
--> Answer: Go to My computer and look for the following directory:

  • C: > Program Files > Palm > (user name) > file called 'sync'

  • Double click on this file and delete the four bottom rows that will look something like this:

"SlotId=0
MediaType=1935960423
DisplayName=SecureDigital (SD) Card
InstallDirName=Slot-SD"

  • Then try a HotSync as normal, it should then 'see' your SD card.

  • If all fails delete a second user name as sometimes this interferes.

Sync problems with windows vista

I got a Vista computer in April and have problems also. You need a special program to install the maps. email Garmin and they will send you the link. An SD card reader/writer is MUCH faster than the sync.

I didn't have syncing problems until after I tried to install Documents to Go. I had to remove Doc to Go v6 because it was making my computer unstable. Doc to GO V10 works with Vista but requires Palm OS6. Garmin says that Palm OS6 can't be installed on the Garmin iQue because they added proprietary software to OS4. I believe my sync problems will disappear after I reload the Palm Software.

Broken screen

The best solution, in my opinion, is to buy a unit being sold for parts or repair (making sure that the LCD display was working) and do the replacement that way.

That's what I'm doing because when I write with my stylus it doesn't recognize what I write.

Garmin IQUE 3600 unable to HotSync, Windows XP

I think I have solved this problem.

Try this:

Go to my computer, right click -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager.

Locate your IQUE 3600, or Palm.

Now, if your palm has a Yellow Exclamation mark on it, that means that your computer is not recognizing the Palm. Select
Driver details. Re-install the driver off the "Setup CD" that came with your IQUE 3600.

This worked for me.

Good luck!
