My screen will not come on my Jensen 9412

I took my battery cable off to install an alternator, but my screen will not come on so I can put in my radio Code.

On the faceplate there should be a reset button that can be push with a paperclip give that a try and if not try to disconnect the battery again for about 10min then reconnect starting with the ground first

yes, it is possible a bad ribbon cable could be causing all of your problems. you will probably have to go to audiovox.com to get a new one.

I'd go directly to Jensen. If the cable was defective when you purchased it, it should be replaced under warranty.

I just installed a VM9311 and when I turn the volume up it resets. Any suggestions?
check for loose wire in harness. Had same problem with 9412 that i have. Bought new harness at electronic express for 20 bucks. hope this helps
