Lg venus got wet, now the touch screen is very very dim but functional. no other problems. Is there anyway to repair this yourself? Thanks

the problem is one of tow :
1-problem in the mobile software :- you need to re install the mobile firmware.
2-a problem in touch screen itself :-the touch screen needs to be changed
these are the all touch screen problems only

So, you brushed up against your desk, and shattered your phone's touch screen? I have the same phone, and I have dropped it several times, including on concrete and pavement, and the screens have not even been scratched. I am not saying I have not been lucky, or that you might not have a dud phone, but I think you are understating the truth a bit. Also, you are asking people to solve a problem that has only a couple (very obvious) solutions: Check if the the phone can be repaired by a professional, or, most likely, get a new phone. Sucks, but that's how it goes ;)

The touch screen on Garmin Nuvi 660 is not working at all. It turns on, but when I touch the screeen, nothing happens. Could it be the battery. It was low, so I charged it for 45minutes, then the gps screen dimmed and turned off after just 10-15 minutes of "messing with it"

did you wipe down the keys and backside of the top screen when you pried it open?, i dont think theres a way to get in the middle, without a good bath.......which will kill it. try getting insurance?

try whit usb cable comming whit phonne . if you have this cable plug into usb port on you computer and chec if you phonne charge now. if not call back

take the phone and have the lcd replaced

ya you can fix it yourself
just follow this tips below :
take a hair dryer and dry it completely ...
remember while drying remove your battery . ...
and dont dry the battery with very hot air ...
