Reinstalling a dell printer

Yeah hi.. i need help on how to reinstall my dell printer.... I got my computer fixed and by accident he uninstalled my printer.. i REALLLY NEED UR HELP! ITS FOR MY DAUGHTER WHO NEEDS TO PRINT SCHOOL WORK BY TONIGHT! PLS GIVE ME DIRECTIONS ON HOW AND WHERE TO GO TO IN ORDER TO REINSTALL MY COMPUTER!//thank you!

    You can find the drivers for the 5110CN Color Laser Printer HERE.

    Choose the operating system using the drop down arrow to the right of the Operating System.

    Leave the other fields below as they are (ENGLISH; ALL; ALL)

    Click the [ + ] sign to the left of PRINTERS below

    Click the DOWNLOAD NOW link to the right of the 1st line (Dell - Driver)

    If you need any help at all w/ these steps or w/ getting your drivers downloaded and installed and the printer working, just let us know.

My printer Dell 926 is not communicating with the computer. I have disconnected the cables both from the power and tower and restarted computer but still nothing. Everything was good yesterday???

if you have the users manual (given that it has worked properly in the past) my suggestion would be to disconnect the printer from the computer/uninstall the current software/then with your manual in hand follow the guidance PRECISELY to reinstall the printer. If you do not have the manual it can be obtained (free) from the Dell site. Just before doing the uninstall/reinstall if you haven't already done so you might go to the Dell download site and install the latest drivers for the printer from there.

Attempted to scan and now printer does not work. I have a dell computer with vista

Check if the printer can still be detected in your control panel (control panel -> printers). Check when you point at it if it says "ready". If it is not, inspect the cables and try a different port on you computer. If it says ready and you still could not print, see if uninstalling it and reinstalling it works. If that does not solve it, have it tested on another computer. Should it still not work, your printer may have gone bad.

Communication error, all the cables are fine and it printed fine 2 days ago.

1] try system restore for two days back

2] go to add/remove the programs uninstall dell printer and reinstall the drivers from

Lexmark 4270 won't print after I had my computer repaired.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your printer software, some places accidently take out drivers by accident and you need to reinstall them

This Problem can be fixed by uninstalling Adobe Reader and other copy of Adobe or Acrobat and reinstalling them from
and the problem will surely get fixed.

Computer to Printer Communication problem

Uninstall the printer software, then uninstall the printer itself. then reinstall the software drivers first , then the software.
Remember most USB printers need the drivers and software installed BEFORE you connect them to the USB port on the computer.
You also might look in the device manager for any yellow ! or ? in the USB section. This would indicate a USB driver issue. Post again if you need more help...

Normally to fix a printer that is printing gibberish, uninstalling and reinstalling the print drivers will fix this issue. Another thing that can contribute to gibberish print is using a USB cable that is too long.

With this particular problem (prints Zen), one solve is to uninstall any Dell toner management software. This is particularly true if you are running Vista and hooked up by USB. To uninstall the toner management software (Vista OS), go to control panel>programs>programs and feature>uninstall a program. From this list choose Dell software, choose a customized uninstall, and then choose anything that has to do with Dell toner management.

From the following link download the Dell printer uninstaller extract the file and Run the wizard. Make sure that the printer is not plugged in when the wizard is run.
Restart your computer, Install the latest drivers .
If you are not able to install the drivers or your printer is stilll not printing its time to reinstall windows.

may be there is a problem in operating syatem just try reinstalling the operating system...
this problem may be due to virus attck some of the system files which are needed for operating are corrupted & became unstable...

may be there is problem in card reader....

1. Insert the printer software disk and follow the prompts. or 2. Go to Start/printers and Faxes /click on install new printer follow the prompts. or 3 Go to Start/printers and Faxes /click on install new printer and when you get CD or List select List -then make then model.
