Stop error i have a problem with this laptop. can u help me with this? it has known stop errors with it. it really irritates me and it happens occasionally. with the blue screen and has some errors written on it then it restarts automatically. pls help?? any suggestions??....

If you do have an NVIDIA graphics card for your computer, you can call Sony support at 1-888-476-6972 and they will process a free repair for it even when your computer is out of warranty. I think your model is included in the known issue.

the tps would be worth a look, the other thing since you said intermittent try to be able to reduplicate it on your own maybe slower take offs from a stop or otherwise all the little things really help diagnose the intermittent things

What are typing in ( Program)?
Type resizing is program specific in options/settings.

when you tried it on other lmachines did you load software from same source? If its a software driver problem, you can uninstall the one you have and then try getting a new copy from hp website and reinstall fresh.
If there are any known issues or updates, then the current version will be best anyway and may solve the problem.
Probably not much you can do if its a harware problem, unless its under warranty.

You can configure Windows not to automatically reboot when a System failure happens (Control Paner -> System -> Advanced tab -> Settings button).
That will allow you to write down the details when it happens again. To solve a BSOD error, you really need to check the error details and analyze the stop error code and other details.

According to ATI this is a known issue. They refer problems to microsoft about this error as they say it is an o/s issue. Microsoft refers you back to ATI saying it is a thermal issue. I have an ATI card as well & have the same problem. Hopefully the next driver will fix this issue when released. Hope this helps.

The laptop keyboard will need to be replaced. Heat from the laptop will wear out the keyboard. It will get worst. You can go on the IBM website an find out if your laptop is under warranty.
