Do This: Install the driver
that is on the Acer FTP site. Don't worry that there is a newer version
out on the Realtek site, just install the Acer version. It will work
then.
Look for a piece of software called "Acer Crystal Eye webcam" in your start menu program list, or in your program files folder. This is a simple photo and video capture program that comes with your laptop. It is very similar to Apple's "Photo Booth" program if your familiar with that.
To start recording a video click on the camcorder icon, to stop click on it again. To take a picture click on the camera icon. All of your saved photos and videos will be displayed in a scrolling menu along the bottom of the program window. To delete a file click on it to highlight and then click the trash can icon. To open a file in a video player or photo view double click it. If you don't have this software I've included a link to download it from cnet.com below.
yes you can use the recovery partition which should be built into the hard drive. press f2 on the bios screen and follow the on board instructions. this will return the laptop to its original factory state. Keep in mind that this is a destructive reinstall of windows and you will lose all data and programs.
make sure you do a recovery and NOT a system restore to earlier date.
Tricky to say without not opening it up. Sounds like one of the wires has come loose or it can be something more. press down by the left hinge, cables come through there and by pressing you can see if it is a loose connection Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you
