Surround Sound Hi, I've had a similar unit to this (SA-DK10) for a while now and love it. My only problem with it is that I've never had it hooked up to my TV for anything other than watching DVD's. Is it possible to have this unit hooked up for when I'm watching regular TV? I don't have a manual because I bought it as an open item at Circuit City, but from playing around with it, it doesn't seem to have that capability. Is there an alternative? Thanks in advance, Dave

You can run your sound from the TV or cable box (if those devices have that capability), but NO you can't run video into the SA-dk10. DVD is the only video output.

Hi, I have a Panasonic SA-BTT270 that it turns off when my home central AC unit turns on. I’ve had this surround system for about 5 years now and it barely started doing this about 6 months ago. Any...

I don't know the answer but I just wanted to mention; many VCRs contained a dew sensor to prevent the unit operating at times of high humidity or when condensation formed in the machine.

Perhaps your system has a similar sensor and it detects high humidity or condensation when your air-con is operating.

Do not know how to wire my sa-w10 speakers together

For surround sound, you need an A/V receiver with 5.1 or 7.1 surround capability. Depending on what kind of receiver you have, the DVD player, satellite/cable box, etc hooks to the receiver, those signals go out to the TV, and the speakers hook to the receiver. The receiver decodes the signal from the cable/satellite box or DVD player and routes it to the appropriate speakers. If the TV program or DVD isn't HD or coded for surround sound, the best you can expect is 2.1 channel stereo sound. OR, you can hook everything (DVD, satellite/cable box) to the TV and run an optical cable from the Digital Output of the TV to the receiver, which is basically the same thing, just a different way to hook everything up. Hope this helps

I hooked up a new lg hd tv via hdmi through my digital cable box. I am not receiving true surround sound, only dolby II. I have my box digitally hooked up to the receiver and the HDTV digitally hooked up...

It's possible that the TV broadcast isn't in true surround, and is only dolby encoded.
You can try going back to the component hookups, but I am not sure that will solve your issue.

Low sound when turned to AUX for surround sound

remember to turn the volume up on the cable box and down on the surround sound so you will get max audio input to the surround system and then adjust using the surround sound remote! good luck

Technics surround sound system

Use whatever TV sound output conforms to your receiver's input. If an optical or coaxial digital sound output is available, that is the way to get 5.1 surround sound through the SA-DX1050. But you have to assign the correct input (COAX, OPT1 or OPT2) to the selector (TV, DVD, CD). See pp 12-13 of the operationg instructions for D-Input instructions. If you don't have the manual you can download it at Panasonic.com.

I hooked two Receivers up in series a Technics SA-DX930 and a different kind I'm not sure wut kind. They worked great for a while, but when they got turned up a little louder they both quit puting out...

you blew your power amp board, you cannot hook them in series due to impediance matching and improper input levels, cheaper to replace reciever than the board
