You have lost either the system files could have been a virus in the windows folder OR your Hard Drive has failed, goto the BIOS see if it sees the HDD if it does then you will need to reinstall the operating system from the cabinet files most laptop manuals have a key press sequence to do this , NB> you will loose all documents and application files so you might need to slave the drive if it still works to take off the documents that you need.

My laptop was hanged from last one hour how to start of samsang compeny

If I understand correctly; your laptop is hanging( hung in a loop ) and unable to function. I suggest a "Hard Shutdown". This will allow the computer to restart. Press and hold down the laptop's power button for approximately 15 seconds. The laptop should power off then press the power button normally and it will restart. Start up may take longer especially if you are using a Windows Operating System. The Operating System may detect that there was a problem and will attempt to correct. Simply follow the onscreen prompts. Good Luck.

My cursor froze and it wont't move

Try to force your machine to power down (off) by pressing and holding the power button for several seconds (up to 10). If no success, disconnect any AC power and remove the battery. {It can not run without a source of power.} After it has powered down, do what is necessary to restart it. The problem should be gone for the moment. If you had to remove the battery to get the machine to turn off, go into your operating system options and configure the power button to "shut down" a running machine when it is pressed and held down.

I want to restart or reset my laptop. how?

Hi,

Few steps to restart you laptop, I would suggest not to restart often since it will degrade the hardware resource.
  • Determine what operating system it uses. Finding out what operating system your laptop uses will let you know what key combo (such as "Ctrl+Alt+Delete") can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown.
  • Try and reboot using the operating system. Attempt to use the key combination that will allow you to exit from the operating system and restart the laptop. Be patient, as it may take some time if it has locked up.
  • Hold down the power button. If the operating system's answer to the rebooting will not work, find and hold down the power button of the laptop. This should cause the device to shut itself off. You'll have to press the power button again to power it back on, completing the reboot.
  • Unplug from the wall and remove the battery. If restarting via the operating system and the power button do not work, unplug the laptop from the wall outlet, and remove the battery from the laptop. This will cause it to power off immediately.
  • Allow time to reboot. Give the laptop time to cool down before you power it back on if you had to do this manually.
Else Try:

Windows start > there's a small arrow(pointing RIGHT) in the left bottom > click it and u will get ALL the Power House Options there at your Click(sleep, hibernate, shut down,RESTART,....)

How do I reboot it? Compaq 5716 runs very slow Can't download anything paid for interent and the computer just freezes. I want to do a system restore where there is nothing on the computer like brand new.

There are different ways on how to reboot a computer. If your laptop is not operational like it's frozen or crashed with the mouse frozen, try the simple steps below:

1. The custom way to reboot your computer is to press and hold the power button until it shuts off. Then press the power again if you want to turn it back on.

2. If your computer is functional and you just want to reboot/restart it, click on Start then click on Turn Off and select Restart. It will restart your computer.

3. If you can't click on the Start button but your mouse is still functional, you can simply press the Ctrl + Alt + Del button on your keyboard to bring up the Task Manager. Then on the Task Manager window, click on Shutdown tab, then choose Restart.

4. If your computer wont turn off no matter what you do, like holding the power button and the steps above, try to unplug the power cable for few minutes then plug it back in. Try to turn on the computer again.

System Restore

Click on START > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

When you do System Restore, this feature will restore your computer's settings back to its normal or functional condition. You can just choose an earlier date where it was working fine. The good thing about system restore is it wont delete your recent saved files and data.

If you really want a clean hard drive/system like what you said (brand new), reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows Operating System is what you need. You need your Windows installation CD to do it. Click on the links below on how to reinstall your Windows Operating System.

Hello, the whole screen froze up. the cursor wont move. it cant be powered off either. i badly need help. please....

Hello my friend, you are experiencing a system hang up. In order to restart your system you'll have to long press the power button on your computer or laptop then do not release it until the computer/laptop will not turn off. If the computer/laptop will turn off check first the system unit tighten the connectors and then restart your computer again. If it won't work then remove the power cable connected on your computer system unit to your avr or Automatic Voltage Regulator.

Freezed (No turning off)

Hold down the power button until it shuts off. Give it a few seconds. That should square it away.

Windows wx start up failure

The shut down caused a system glitch. You will need to run a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. Rare, but occasionally, the hard drive crashes under these circumstances and will need to be replaced. Usually if this happens, the hard drive was on it's way out anyway, and would have crashed eventually.
