Where can i download free antivirus for my computer?

If you are using Microsoft's operating system, then it will be best if you go by Microsoft's own free security product. You can download free antivirus from the link given below:
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
Microsoft Security Essentials has been reviewed as better than most of other free antivirus software. All you need is a genuine windows operating system.
Cheers!

I install symantec antivirus but its disable auto protect in tray show icon red round

You got a virus that designed to disable Norton. Do yourself a favour, uninstall Norton. Here a link to an excellent free piece of software for home users. Download it, install it, update it, schedule a boot-time scan, you wil be amazed by just how much it finds & it wont slow your system by being too labour intensive like symantec. http://www.avast.com/

Norton trial version expired but not uninstalled

1. Yes, uninstall before installing any other antivirus program or security suite. Your computer (and you) will be happier.
2. Once you uninstall the trial version of Norton, go ahead and download One Care. I've heard some good things about it, but haven't used it personally or seen it installed on a client's computer.
3. Symantec/Norton has made improvements to their software uninstalls. If you have a newer version of Norton installed, it should cleanly uninstall from the Add/Remove programs area. If it's older, you may have issues getting it to uninstall - leaving remnants as you mentioned. Symantec has help removing their software completely on their support site if you need help.

Hope this helps! : )

I got norton antivirus trial version installed on my new computer. Now i can't get my email page open even though i've tried numerous times to change the norton settings and get Hotmail page verified. ...

Delete Norton. Its terrible and slows your machine down. Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/remove programs. And uninstall it.
Use AVG Antivirus instead, its free and much better.

Norton 360

Hi Sheba,

Yes you can load norton 360 on your new pc. If you have all the license codes, just remove the trial version from your new pc and installed the full version of 360. To uninstall you can either go to control panel -> add remove programs and select the nortan trial software. Or you can find an installation's link under the program list. Hope this helps.
