The screen has a reddish tint to it. Seems like a color issue and not sure what to replace. The picture works fine but everyone is red. Not sure if there is a bulb to replace or what? Any suggestions? This tv is a Hitachi 50v000 50inch hdtv.

I would unplug it from the wall for a while and see if that will help reset it. Also make sure there are no magnetic devices near the screen because this will change the screen color as well. Mine will mess up every once in a while so I just unplug it while I am off running errands, plug it back up when I come home and it seems to reset itself. Good luck

could be a panel problem, do you have a picture?

not so sure if warped lines about it not being convergence, if the lines are diagonal and light red etc it may be a screen circuit issue. Hard to tell from description----take a few good photos and post them on a free photo sharing site and provide a link here---expert who sees what it looks like may be able to help...............

assuming you gave checked the menu settings for the video out, I would say your plasma panel board may need to be replaced

I want you to do a simple visual check of something that will tell me what the problem may be.

Go to a channel that is in black and white--old movie and tell me what color the screen/picture is.

You can also turn the COLOR in the customer menu all the way off and look that way.

What we are trying to see here is if TRACKING is set correctly or has changed. If the screen is somewhat to medium reddish it may be an adjustment outside of the customer menu.

Let me know what you find--I have seen several of these where the black and white picture was somewhat red--the idea is it should be as close to black and white as possible--if red is the predominant background color the picture will look reddish.

If this has helped and you confirm the red instead of black and white picture--I can tell you a easy way to adjust this.

go in to a tv shop and say to them what you said to me thay should be able to tell you what to do but if u get no help don,t hesert

first try adjusting the color-tint on the menu if this does not solves the problem you have a failing proyector and has to be replaced
