Turns off after awhile

My friend has a Fujitsu Plasmavision PDS-4214 tv. He bought it in the year 2000, and now it has developed a fault. When he turns it on after
20 minutes to half an hour it turns itself off.
Can anyone help please?

This is most likely caused by the Main Power pcb.

See Fujitsu Service Bulletin on this problem in a similar model from Fujitsu. -see link below

A competent service technician should be able to implement the service bulletin.
A similar service bulletin is probably available for your model. Request bulletin from Fujitsu '[email protected]'

Error Message: Condition 1

Error condition 1 is a faulty Fan. On these units if one fan is faulty then the sensor will shut the screen down as a protection.

a repair of this unit is possible.

No not power supply, it's the X and Y sustain boards. These boards have to be replaced as a pair.

Contact Fujitsu for a repair of this unit.

I HAVE PLASMA TV MYRICA P50-2.

The link below is where you can get the information about how to buy Fujitsu television parts. I have no idea if they will sell to non contracted servicers. These sets are serviced mainly by board swapping. You can eaily buy boards that you think are defective, and they are not the fault. This is the gamble you will be taking when servicing these sets yourself.
