To erase a music file, you must plug the K3 into the computer, and when a window pops up that says "Open in Folder", "Open with Media Player", etc. Choose "Open in Folder" then go to "Internal Storage", then choose "Music". From there, you can delete by artist, or if you click on a folder that has an artist's name for the title, you can erase by album. From there you can erase by track by double clicking on an album folder.
To erase, right click the folder you wish to delete, and select "Delete".

Where can i downlaod software for a samsung yp-k3 please

You dont need any special software to add files to your player. I will give you two ways to add files to your player:

  • **Drag and Drop**
Connect your MP3 player to the computer. Some MP3 players connect directly to a USB port, while others connect to a USB port by way of a specific USB connector that comes with the MP3 player. Open the folder on the computer that contains the music files you want to transfer. This is usually the "My Music" folder; available from the "Start" menu, but it can be any folder where you save your music files. Scroll down to the song you want to transfer to the MP3 player. Right-click on the title. When the options are displayed, click on "Send To." Scroll down the "Send To" options and select your MP3 player. This can be listed as your MP3 player's name or as "Removable Drive." Click on this selection. Continue this process until you have transferred all songs that you want to your MP3 player.
  • --**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

If I have my YP-K3 plugged in, samsung media studio crashes immediately, and Emodio also does. I want to edit the playlists, the PLA files, is there any other way to do this?

Yes the same thing happens with me. I removed samsung media studio then I create a new folder in My documents, call it by the artist name eg The Beatles. place your mp3's in this file. Now plug in your YP-K3 and double click on it's icon in My computer go to data then music or playlists (whatever you want to do) cut the file you created in My documents and paste it in music or playlists.

yer that's what I do but aparently you can use iTunes

Hope this helps

Playlists disappeared from Samsung Media Studio, but still on K3!

Well you don't have to use that program. First connect you're mp3 to you're computer. If you're using a PC and not mac there's always Windows Media Player or if you click on the start button on the desktop in the bottom left corner and menu will appear. Click on my computer, there will be a list of items are one of them should be the name of your Mp3 player. Click it and you can access the files on your Mp3 player. If you wish to rather use Window Media Player open it first. On the left hand side there should be a list of the tracks on your library, playlists and you're Mp3. You can access you're files from there aswell. The other thing about windows media maker is you can also synchonize songs on to your mp3.

My 2gb yp-k3 mp3 player freezes when there is too many playlists

The answer is not to use more than 2 playlists. If you haven't upgraded the firmware you can try that.
