First, when I was entering a code, the botom screen of my DS went gliched up (red with blue stripes.) I turned of my DS and then turned it back on. ALL GAMES AND CODES WERE GONE. One month later, my action replay does not even work in my DS. I turn it on, but it says that there is no DS game card in my DS.

  • Anonymous Jan 02, 2009

It won't let me add codes os r games. When i try the bottom screen gets lines that are red and blue.

  • Anonymous Jan 05, 2009

Ok I tried to add a new code for Pokemon Pearl.... I forgot to put my action replay in so when i added the code it said put in action replay.... When i out it in the action replay pops out and the bottom screen gets all glitchy with blue and red lines...I turn off the AR and turn it back on.... ALL MY GAMES AND CODES ARE GONE... and when i try to put in the game and the game ID It goes all glitchy again... And my AR had alot of problems... it wasnt recognizing the game when i out it in the AR so i had to first put the ar activate the code then remove the ar and put the game... then if it needed to save i have to remove the game and put the AR again, let it save then put the game again....

Ok i'm sorry to say but what you did is corrupted the a. I had this same problem...but i have a solution. For the most part its simple all you do is as the ar is loading you press A B START and SELECT at the same time and hold untill you see the main screen then that has restarted your Action Replay Device. I have tried this my self and it may take a couple tries to get it just right so repeat if necessary.

I had the DS Action Replay too and it did the same thing. The AR is not made Nintendo, so it dosn't last as logn and it also screws with the game. Too many cheat codes activated can cause damage to the DS, AR, and the game. You must know that everything has a limit, and you might have gone over the AR limit, and if you did, it works fine, but it will screw up even worse after a while.

Rofl i tried it myself. most advicors says press A+B and hold them in while you turn on the game, then when you see the start screen press start+select and hold till you see the "this is not made by nintendo" message. i didnt know i could press select+start as soon as it went on ^^
gonna test it and this comment will be written in real time:

pressing a+b, turning it on...seeing the scrren-pressing select+start!
hoping for the best... and nope, tried it twice AGAIN. have tried it 20 times now and still it only takes 10 seconds longer till I see the action replay 0 codes place and still no help :(

SOURCE: Action Replay for Nintendo DS

Sorry, my last desc should be ignored here are all to solutions to problems. I know:

Prob: Two white Screens:
Solution: none so far, have emails sent to Datel. see what happens. This occurs when attempting save codes with the DS and the AR is pulled out or DS powered off. My suggestion if you get a new one, only update codes using the PC software.

Prob: AR keeps asking for game cart. insertion:
Solution: remove AR and put in game cart.

Prob: AR not enough memory to update codes:
Solution: there is more bugs in their software/firmware that doesn't really know when items are deleted and space is free. You must reset AR cart. and then use the PC software to reload all the codes:

a) First I would update the AR PC software (no DS AR connected)
b) Connect DS with AR to PC then update the AR firmware
c) Disconnect DS AR from PC
d) DS off hold A+B when TURN ON DS when DS logo shows press START+SELECT with A+B still down as well, hold for a while. turn off DS
e) Reconnect to PC, turn on DS and drag the PC US codes to the DS side. (Note: I had to do 4 & 5 a couple of times it finally worked)

Prob: AR PC software not seeing the DS AR connection: Solution: The PC drivers are not being found for the NDS link. You need to do the following:

a) close the AR PC software, and disconnect the AR DS.
b) connect the AR DS and then the windows new hardware driver install window pops up. must select using the manual browse option.
c) go the the action replay directory either on the action replay CD you bought or from a extracted version from the web. (NOTE: this is not the installed location, but before where the setup.exe exists) I had lost my CD and did about 10 minutes and found a .rar of the source code.
d) pick the action replay subdirectory and click on install
e) you should see the NDS link drivers being installed.
f) start the AR PC software and attempt to connect the DS AR it should work.

-- I hope this helps anyone --

Action Replay DS has stopped working altogether.

It must be completely broken. If you are desperate, you can always try putting a very small drop of liquid in it, the blowing like crazy.

Broken action replay

try this:

1.) Turn on the DS holding the (A) + (B) button.

2.) Then press and hold [Start] + [Select] While still holding (A) + (B) after the Nintendo Screen Is Displayed and Before it says "This Product Is Not Endorsed by Nintendo"

note: this resets your AR so u will loose all your codes

I want cheats for Ridge racers5

I'm not sure if you're asking for cheat codes for use with Ridge Racer DS for the Nintendo DS, or Ridge Racer V for the Playstation 2 - Unfortunately, neither game has actual cheats built into them. You can, however, use a hex editor tool (also referred to as a Trainer, Gameshark, or Action Replay), which would allow you to cheat.
