Printer wont instal ><

You may want to uninstall your existing printer software first before re-installing the new software. From your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 2600 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, restart your computer when prompted.
When your computer turns back on, you may now re-install the printer software. Visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark 2600 printer driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

If you ahve teh software installed, right click the icon and select the properties option then locate the tab that has the option to run in compatibility mode. Set the software to run in Windows XP or Vista compatibility. If it is stopping the installation, right click the installation file and tell it to run in compatibility mode with a previous version of windows to install.

Some copiers are not compatible with certain computers.You might need to get online and go to asus website to see which copiers is compatible with your computer.

Need to know a bit more. Is this an older printer? It may not be compatible with your computer/OS. Try checking with your Operating System to see if it is compatible with the printer. Go to Windows Help to find out more about printer conflicts and compatibilities.

Ok first make sure its compatible with your windows for the first time that you install the printer with the computer ,the computer recognize the printer but if the computer dont recognize the printer its because its not compatible that happened to me and i went back to the store and exchange for a HP printer compatible with Windows Vista I hope this help Good Luck

Reinstall/repair windows.  The default setting for the printer I believe is a Windows function, not a printer software function.

I have a lexmark 8300, and it keeps giving errors when I fax so I uninstall it, and tried to reinstantall. I am not able to do so.
