You can get the complete service manual for your dlp at the following link which has step by step instructions to disassemble and reassemble the entire set plus troubleshooting and parts list. Its 17.99 and they email it to you and provide free tech support with free on line instant messaging with a tech to help you repair your set. This is all free when you purchase the manual. I need both panels of the screen for a Hitachi 55VS69A. I don't really want to pay that much if possible.

You can find a new OEM Hitachi replacement lenticular screen and Fresnal screen (availble together as the screen assembly) for a model # 55VS69A from a major Hitachi distributor at the following links:

Hitachi 55VS69A LCD TV, blue cloud/haze?

You might want to check the light installation to make sure it is seated properly and there is no dust build up around it or the reflector. Have you changed it recently?

Hitachi's Service Hotline number is 1-800-448-2244 (1800-HITACHI). They do not sell parts direct but can give you all the information for local servicing and authorized parts dealers.

Now if anyone knows the exact part number for the "light engine" in the 55VS69A, we might get once step closer to a solution for this common problem. Anyone?
