If this is specific to this game only, then you may want to go through the game manual for instructions. If this is happening in other games as well, then it could be that your keyboard is defective and will need to get it replaced..

How can I edit an address I already have stored in my IBM Wheewriter 6 without deleting it entirely and retype it in and storing it again?

You do not have to purchase a manual for this one job. There is a free copy at http://images.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/index/en.html
Just go to the bottom of the page for "Typewriters" and choose your model. I believe the answer you are looking for is on page 3-25. I have looked at it myself. Here are the steps.

Always open the storage before making a revision.
- The store light must be on.
Pressing Store + the number (1 to 99) always opens storage at the beginning of a job.
If you play back too far or want to start over:
1. Press Play to stop playback
2. Press Store + the number (1 through 99)
3. Press Play. (Playback starts again at the beginning of the job.)

Use the Correction key to erase unwanted carrier returns from Stored job:
1. Press Play or Play+Spacebar until the carrier return playb
2. Press the correction key.

After making a revision hold down Play while you press and release the Spacebar several times to make sure the next few characters play back correctly.

When revising indented jobs, be sure to stop playback at the word or character you want to revise. Remember, you cannot use the Correction key to erase characters typed before you press Code+Tab or Code+Crtn. Therefore, if you play back too far, you may need to start playing back again from the beginning of the job.

Let me know if there is anything else needed.

Keyboard stops working

This happens with this model dell. It's a pain. If it completely stops working except for space bar and perhaps one character it's the keyboard. If not it could be a software glitch. Spill anything on it? Replaced a keyboard for a person who claimed no spill. Found dried milk around perimeter of keyboard once removed. His kids did it. If you have to replace it, it is easy! You don't have to open the computer or really take anything apart. The keyboard is removable from the top by removing the plastic trim at the top of the base above the keyboard. The screen has to be folded all the way back to do this. If you want to replace it, its easy and cheap. Post it for directions.

How do I reset the channel for the mouse and keyboard?

Dear Sir,

plzz follow this step to solve your probel

icon on the desktop. Click the "Change a Setting" choice in the left column. In the window that appears, double-click the "Keyboard" icon. This dialog box handles all settings for your current keyboard. Another path to the control panel is to click the "Start" button at the bottom left of the screen. Roll the mouse pointer up to "Settings" and click "Control Panel."
  • Step 2 Reset the character repeat settings. The speed of character repeat and the delay before repeating starts is adjustable with sliding level indicators. Click on the adjuster and hold your finger on the mouse button to drag the adjustment left or right.
  • Step 3 Change the cursor blink rate. A faster blink helps to locate the cursor while moving it with the arrow keys. Change the blink rate by dragging the slide to the left or right for slower or faster.
  • Step 4 Enable the keyboard to accommodate one-handed typing or foreign languages. Click on the "Input Locales" tab near the top of the dialog box. Click the "Add" button for choices of available languages. Click the "Properties" button for choices to include Dr. Dvorak’s keyboard layouts for two-handed typing or single-handed typing with either hand.
  • Step 5 Identify and correct keyboard malfunctions. Click the "Hardware" tab on the dialog box. The current keyboard will be listed under devices. The functioning status of the keyboard is displayed, and a troubleshoot button is active for use anytime. Make a first attempt to resolve keyboard problems by clicking this button.

    Keyboard help

Putting the keycap back on is usually fairly easy. Many will snap back into place if you place the keycap back into the correct position and gently press it down. Look on the back side of the loose keycap and see if it has 4 small clips or if it has 2 clips and 2 slots. The one wit 4 clips should snap back on. The one with 2 slots requires you to get one side of the key hinge into the slots before pressing it down onto the other 2 clips.

If only some of the keys stopped working, that usually indicates a defective keyboard. Try connecting an external USB keyboard to see if all the characters work correctly. If the external keyboard works but the laptop keyboard does not, then you will probably need to replace the laptop keyboard.
