There are 2 clocks 1 for lamp and 1 for total, the total you cant change. dark picture, make sure your got same wattage lamp for replacement, I find original Philips lamps the best. if it continues follow manufacture instructions on cleaning mirror and lens.

How do I switch the bulb in a DLP projection TV model RU-52SZ61D

I just replaced the bulb/lamp on my LG RU-52SZ51D TV. It was fairly simple. Basically you have 2 screws that hold on the cover panel on the right side of the TV. Once you take off the cover, you'll then see a metal tray with a handle. That has 3 screws, you can then pull out the tray and see the bulb/lamp. The lamp has 3 more screws that hold the little brackets that hold the lamp in place. Last you have the 2 power wires. One is connected by a screw on the left of the lamp, the other is attached by a nut and a washer on the back of the lamp, where you would usually screw in a normal light. The two wires are just connected to a single plug to the right of the lamp which you can remove, you get the new lamp with the wires already attached. All you have to do is plug it in after you mount it back up. Here is the info on purchasing a lamp, sorry but I am still in the process of learning how to reset the lamp indicator light...

I HAVE A 52" ZENITH

There are several models on several generations of Zenith manufactured LCD projection tv's. Without knowing the exact model of yours i can't be sure but in most of them the Lamp life counter is reseted this way: with the tv in stand-by, you press the "?" key on the remote then immediately you press 9,8,7,6 and then the OK. If the procedure was correct the 3 lights on the front of the tv will blink to signal the end of the reset procedure.
In others , hold down the Mute button on remote and Enter on TV at the same time for a few seconds, you should get a screen prompt asking if you want to reset the timer for the lamp.

Replacing lamp

try this to see if it works!

If you replace the DLP lamp out of your Zenith or LG, you will need to reset the
counter…Otherwise you may get an annoying reminder every few days if you’re
surpassed the predetermined hour mark.

Ensure the TV is powered on.

Press and hold the MENU button on the TV

Press and hold the MENU button on your REMOTE
(hold both these until the service menu pops up 5-10 secs max.)

Let go of the REMOTE button first, then release the button on the TV

Press and hold the ENTER (or OK) button on the TV

Press and hold the MUTE button on the REMOTE
(hold both until the LAMP LIFE HOURS appears on the screen)

Let go of the REMOTE button first, then release the button on the TV
We suggest writing your lamp hours on a peice of masking tape and taping it to the back the TV for future reference

To reset the lamp counter, press SELECT (or the button in the middle of the direction arrove buttons). Hit SELECT a second time to confirm clearing the lamp counter

For certain models, you might have to tweak these steps slightly… offer your inputs!

Lamp reset

The correct way to reset the lamp timer on that unit is to hold the menu key on the remote and push the enter key on the front of the TV at the same time. Hold them (it's about 9 or 10 seconds) and then a screen comes up asking if you would like to reset the lamp timer. That will reset the time but if your problem is a dark picture that's probably not going to fix that.
