My blackberry curve is completely dead. Is there a way to retrieve the contacts on the blackberry? Can the pple at the AT&T store do it? It just turned off on its on completely. Then I took out the battery and rebooted..stayed on for a min..then died and I cant get it back on. There is no water damage and it hasnt been badly dropped.

My phone randomly started with the blinking LED after I messed with it but it still wouldnt boot completely up. Id get the white screen, then the AT&T logo, then it would crap out on me. The led blinks 111011..so I decided to wipe it. Finally connected to pc, did back up, wiped and reinstalled OS. Worked great for about 12 hrs..then started over with the blank screen and blinking LED.! GRR! I dont have any applications on it except what came on the phone, the sd is out, and it quits sometimes after a txt or if I go into my phone book. Can these things get a virus? Im at my wits end. The iphone is looking pretty good right now..

If your contacts were saved onto your SIM card then once you transfer your sim card to a different phone they will be on there.

My new battery to my blackberry will not charge

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues, like charging issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.
