Check the food grinder (small blade spins against a screen) in the bottom of the dish washer drain. I found the grinder to be inoperative and clogged which reduced / stopped flow of the wash water. Also, small pieces of clear plastic food wrap can block flow.

SOURCE: Inside of dishwasher not clean after running.

its a lime build up from the quality of your water.goto home depot/lowes or a supermarket and buy clr (calcium lime rust) remover.pour a cup in the dishwasher and run a full cycle.this should do the trick.

SOURCE: water in the dishwasher after the the cycle is complete

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?
Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!
Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.
The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

SOURCE: Water pooling up in bottom of dishwasher

is there any way to run the cycle from the beginning and listen to hear if the machine is draining at all when the cycle starts do you hear the water spraying on the inside ? if not then you have several different possibilities....clogged drain line, pump impeller broken(sounds like running but no action), water just flowing back to washer the last one's an easy fix just loop the excess drain hose up like a reverse "p" trap on a kitchen sink drain this keeps the water from flowing back to the machine

SOURCE: Maytag dishwasher not draining fully

Try cleaning out the air gap.  The air gap is not part of the machine, and is located on your sink. If this becomes clogged, it may cause the machine to not drain properly.  Also, I know you said you checked the drain hose and cleaned as far as the filter and chopper blade, but have you checked the lower filter?  There is a filter located underneath the machine that should periodically be cleaned.  To check this, you need to access the machine from underneath by removing the bottom vanity cover. Hope that one of these helps!

Bosch Series 6 Tap error symbol lit but pump and drain hose are fine. What can it be?

That normally signifies a leak. Under the machine there is a plastic pan with a sensor in it. However Bosch have a different idea.

Hi, I am not getting any water going into the machine when I put it on a programme. It starts and when I go back to check it 5 - 10 mins later it says its finished yet everything is still dry and dirty....

It sounds like something may be stuck under your fill switch float. This is usually located near the door, and sits in the bottom of the tub. You'll need to remove the bottom dish tray/basket to get at the float.
Usually, the float is cylindrical, with a magnet inside. It slides up and down a tube which has a magnetic switch inside, which is operated by the magnet in the float traveling by it as the water level in the tub rises and falls. The switch operates a solenoid operated valve which allows water into the tub. This float switch also tells the system when all the water has been pumped out after a cleaning cycle in some dishwashers.
Occasionally, something will get stuck under the float, such as a piece of broken dishware, or a wheel off one of the basket rollers, to name just two items. If this happens when the water level is up, it seems to the dishwasher that there is water in the tub, even when there isn't any, and it proceeds with a wash cycle, but without water, resulting in dirty dishes and a dry inside-of-the-dishwasher.
If you don't find anything under the float, make sure the float travels up and down the tube freely, as it's getting stuck on a dirty tube will cause it to hang up. Clean the outside of the tube and the inside of the float with a piece of Scotch-Brite; NEVER use steel wool, brillo, or anything else which could leave magnetic materials on the float or tube, as they could affect the operation of the magnetic switching operation.
Always check your owner's manual for solutions to this type of problem, and other good maintenance tips.
Good luck!

Miele Dishwasher G841 - Water not draining after wash cycle

If you suspect the dish washer, try discharging the drain in a bucket. After the drain cycle check the wash tub. If water is still left, you have to clean the drain filter attached to the bottom. Refer user guide.

The final drain end of the dish washer where you discharge, the fixing junction has to be cleaned, incase it is clogged.

When the wash cycle takes longer than the time stated on the display, and when the dishes are done, there is about three inches of dirty water in the bottom of the drawer . The repair technician replaced...

A couple of things to confirm first
1. is the second drawer working oK - i am assuming you have a double drawer model?

2. Are you not seeing the wash cycle time on the display? why does the technician want to replace the display (LCD)?

3. Apart from replacing the rotor did the technician try to clean the dishwasher base and pump filter sump?

Please post your comments to help diagnose the cause of dirty water remaining in the dishwasher.

Leaks while running

The water at the bottom is normal if you open it during the cycle. Leak means you need to replace the L-shaped black, molded gasket that is in the lower left or right of your door opening. Replacement is easy - requires no tools. Part can be purchased for about $10 each at Sears parts department.

GE Max Dishwasher won't drain

I had the same problem with my GE Max model gsd6260k. I could hear it trying to drain and some small amounts of water going into the sink drain pipes but it never emptied it all there was aprox 1/2 inch of water that's 1.25 cm aprox for the metric lovers... lol
What i did was...Clean out all debris that was there.
There is a small basket (aka screen) just behind the bottom arms just a tad to the right i lifed it up enough to get a turkey baster into the opening (drain?). I coudn't seem to find the screws without taking all the bottom apart to get the basket out, as the water line going up the back to the center arms is there. Then i used the baster to remove water and i kept squeezing the air forcefully from the baster into the hole. This help, i don't know if it was a clog or what but i let the tub start to fill with water and then hit the start button again which makes it drain out. It was definately draining faster. when it finished there was no more water in the bottom of dishwasher.
