I have a 2002 cheverolet silverado. It has a delco cd player. model 1571233. After a cd is inserted it automactically changes to the am/fm radio and an error message is displayed. It keep the cd for a while. You have to turn the ignition off and back on for it to eject the cd. Can someone help

Go to http://www.the12volt.com/ Look at the top under "Vehicle Wiring" and search for your car.
Press the tab that says "Car Stereo" and Presto, lots of good information. I hope this helps, Ray
you were suppose to have the radio unlock code .if you don't have it a GM dealer will unlock it for you and tell you a code for it

You can try resetting the radio by removing power from it for a few minutes, reconnecting it and trying again. However, it sounds like an internal electronics problem that will either require a repair or replacement.
Had the same problem with my 2004. Replaced the stock radio with a aftermarket pioneer unit. If you replace it make sure you by the aftermarket harness so it will plug right in and all your chimes will work.
This is not a fuse problem, it may be a dirty laser lens or a broken loading mechanism, buy a CD player cleaner disk, if that won't work you will have to pull the unit out and send it in for repair at an authorized GM electronics repair station.
