also check in the motherboard if any properties like aux, line in etc.. is muted, if so unmute and try recording again...
any doubts...??? comment in the solution....so i can get an alert in my mail about your comment....
All the best.....
What cable connections are you using? HDMI has to be enabled on you motherboard (high def. audio), if its S-Vidio you must run a seperate and dedicated audio cable from headphone jack to TV.
My first gues would be to right click your audio icon on your desktop toolbar and check your playback and recording settings, make sure the tuner card is the source, hope this helps!
Hi man First checkout the tuner card audio in put backside of the system one small cable comes along with tuner card it has same pins both sides one side of the pin put in audio out to the tuner card and one side audio in to the system back panel and go to audio controls in the control panel check th line in volume is high or low if line in volume is low u will not get the audio while recording
if you have any doubts give me a msg
i will solve your problem
1. Did the sound ever work?
2. If so, then the short cable that is connected from the TV card to your computer sound card came loose.
3. If it has never worked, then you need an audio cable to connect the TV Audio OUT to your Sound card audio IN.
4. If it has worked and the cables are ok, then the "Audio IN" mute box is checked. Double-click the "speaker" icon on the lower-right of your desktop. UNcheck any of the audio mute boxes.
It should work now. If you need clarification, please reply.
Hope this helps!

Please install the driver of your soundcard, If you have Cd utilities enclosed onto you computer please install the all the drivers, from chipset, vga, souncard or audio so that all the problems wil be resolved.
i f you have none cd utilities then tell me your mainboard(model number) sothat i can search driver for you to download.
You need an 1/8" male jack plug (both ends) cable. One end plugs to audio out on TV card, the other end plugs to audio in on the sound card. Or is it the other way around. Anyway, thats what you need. I think Radio Shack sells them maybe BestBuy or Circuit City.
