I recorded a programme and would like to transfer it onto DVD. However, when I tried to copy the file. It tells me that it is not V-mode compatible so I cannot copy. Is there any way that I can copy the file out from the player?

It is unlikely not to have copied the audio, You don't say what device you are trying to play the file on. If it's your computer you need to have the correct codec installed for the type of audio in the file. First try installing VLC VideoLAN Official page for VLC media player the Open Source video...
if that fails then here is the codec you need Free Download DivX 264 Decoder 8 2 0 26
If it wont play on your LG I need more info about the record options and the type of disc used
Hi, Explore the DVD and just copy the files with VOB extension to USB Stick. These are the Video Files and can be played on any PC. You may also use Any DVD Ripper Software to extract the video from DVD and convert it to any other format such as avi.
Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya! CreativeTECH
I have to agree with XELIAM regarding finishing the disk, under the DVD "FUNCTIONS" selection from the remote. I also use the SLYSOFT products to transfer my videos to what ever other mode of video I wish to have, whether iPOD (MP4), or DIVX (AVI) or loads of other options. Slysoft makes a GREAT product
I use Handbrake ( http://handbrake.fr ) to turn the minidvd files into Mpeg4 files. I have a canon dc 220 and I hook it up to my computer with the supplied USB cable. I then copy the files onto my laptop and use Handbrake to convert them to the mpeg4 format.
Depends on the model and the operating system. Windows mobile based devices allow you go into windows explorer/my computer and copy/paste folders etc onto the memory card. Some programs are installed from .cab files and once installed - you can't copy. You need the original .cab file.
Depending on the DVD Media used.
If you used DVD-R Or DVD+R, then these are write once Only.
Once data has been written, and finalised by writting the Table-of-Contents to the Disk. Then no-more can be added. Hence read-Only.
If you use RW/ DVDs then they can be written to several Times. Although your Player may insist on you Formatting/Erasing any previous Data from the Disk. Before re-writing.
If you are using Write Once only media i.e DVD-R Or +R.
Then it would be a good suggestion to write approximately 4 gig of data Or between 2-3 Hours Of entertainment, to 1 Disk.
Re-Writables are the Practical option For You.
