I'm looking for a printer driver for the Z55 for Windows 7

I've been there ofcourse and have written them an email, no answer so far. I also couldn't find a solution via google.

Try downloading the driver from the Lexmark WEB support site. Please click on this link and select your model printer :-
http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=home&locale=EN&userlocale=EN_US&segment=DOWNLOAD

If Lexmark cannot supply a Windows 7 version driver and then try using
the Vista version driver. This may work but may not give you all the
functions that are available under Vista.

I own a Lexmark z55 printer and every time i even attempt to print something the computer reads "The printer cannot communicate with the computer."

There are lots of possible reasons why it's happening.

1. Printer compatibility - Make sure that the printer is compatible with the operating system of your computer.

2. Correct driver - Be sure that you installed the correct printer driver for the printer to the computer.

3. Printer connection - check if the printer is properly connected to the computer.

4. Printer settings - Go to the printer properties and make sure that your printer is set as the default printer.

You may refer to the user manual for trouble-shooting guide.

You can downlaod your printer driver and software from below link.

click on above link and select operating system then download driver and software.

Need to know how to install lexmark 5150 printer

I too have a Lexmark 5150 so here's what I did btw I am using Fedora 6 and I have installed cups and using the frontend interface localhost:631

1 : Download the Z55 Driver for Linux from the Lexmark Website
2 : Create the following directory temp_lex
3 : tar -xvf CJLZ55LE-CUPS-1.0-1.tar.gz
4 : tail -n +143 lexmarkz55-CUPS-1.0-1.gz.sh | gzip -cd | tar xvf - -C temp_lex
5 : cd temp_lex
6 : rpm -Uvh z55llpddk-2.0-2.i386.rpm lexmarkz55-CUPS-1.0-1.i386.rpm
7 : Install your Lexmark 5150 and from the driver list you should see a driver for a Z55.

Works very well for me...

How can I add my Lexmark Z55 to my new windows xp?

unplug the printer from the computer. turn off the printer.
install the printer software on the computer. if you already install the software, then restart the computer.
turn on the printer and connected the printer to the computer.

I need to download the driver software for my printer as i don't have the cd.

It appears that Lexmark dont offer a driver forthe Z55. Looks like mine's going in the bin then!!!

Z55 printer working with Dell Inspiron 530s

I have LexmarkZ55 printer which I have been using for years then all of sudden it stated that printer is not communicating with the computer and somthing wrong with the cable. I bought new one it still not printing.

I took apart my Z55 lo clean the rollers, but having difficulty getting the springs on the guide shaft oriented correctly. There is a black shaft just inside the paper opening, the pickup roller is on this shaft along with the paper present sensor. Each of these items has a wire spring on it; they are quite long and have "hooks" on the ends of them. The trouble is, I did not pay enough attention to their orientation when I took it apart, and now cannot remember where they go. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
