Washing machine stops on rinse on all cycles

this could be a timer problem, or the cold water may be shut off.....if it is advancing to the rinse point but not filling, then there may be a problem with the fill valve also. You may want to check the lid switch too, just to be sure it is making contact. From what you are describing it sounds like the problem with your washer could either be the lid switch or no cold water. However there are a number of other possibilities. I would recommend checking the lid switch first. Open the lid & you should see the lid switch actuator mounted on the lid. This is the probe that pushes in on the lid switch as you close the washer lid. Next you can check the lid switch. The lid switch is hidden under the top of the washer. You will see a small opening where the plunger comes down at & activates the lid switch. You should hear the switch click as the lid is being closed. You can also use a small non-metallic probe to push in on the lid switch. If the lid switch is not responding, you will need to replace the lid switch.Next you will need to check & make sure the cold water is turned on. You may want to turn the water off & take the cold water fill hose off of the back of the washer. Use a bucket & turn the water back on to check the incoming water pressure. If the water pressure checks good & the washer is not filling for rinse, you will need to replace the water valve. If you have good cold water supply & the lid switch checks okay you will need to access the inside of the machine to make more checks. Be sure to disconnect electrical power before attempting any repairs. Please resubmit your question if you need further assistance.Good Luck

Washing machine will not start at closing of lid

If it fills then does nothing your lid switch is malfunctioning. If it is just dead you will need to check to make sure the power is on, Make sure the water is on, try running different cycles.

I have a top loader whirlpool ultimate care 2 it keeps stopping once filled with water it stops have had timer replaced

After the machine fills the next step is to agitate. By agitate I mean the wash portion. The plastic fin in the middle of the tub rotates back and forth. So, after the washer fills, if the machine does not agitate, but stops dead, you have a broken lid switch. When I say stops dead, I mean no noise whatsoever. If the machine makes noise you have other problems.

If the machine fills, agitates, and then stops dead, the problem is still the lid switch. The next step would be describing the noise so I can more accurately give a suggestion. Problems include but are not limited to: broken couplers, malfunctioning water pumps, and/or defective motors or transmissions. These are the vast majority of the problems, and the others need no mention.

With a model number I can give a part number of the lid switch, and or other problematic parts. Also, I can give you an average price of the parts. With this information you could order it yourself and save money :) The model numbers are located under the lid of the washer. Not physically on the lid, but right under it. Get eye level with the top of the washer and you will see it ;)

Washer is "dead." Was stopped after fill up, and now no power.

Hi, I would check the lid switch first. Remove the two screws that hold the control panel to the cabinet and let it rest on the hinges. Locate the lid switch connection and either test it for continuity or use an insolates wire and jump the switch by inserting the wire into the gray and brown wires. Turn the washer on and see if it works.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Thanks

Maytag Washer Just Stopped After it Filled With Water (Timer?)

Cant rule out the timer but I suspect first check the lid switch. The timer and other components are fed from the lid switch on most models. Just put the2 wires together and reapply power if it works replace the lid switch. If not you'll have to have a wire diagram to know where to check next, but your water level switch "fill switch" could be at fault. it stops the water valve 1 way and can energize the rest of the circuits the other way. It may not be closing in the "full" direction. Again this switch if so wired will have 3 wires on it.
