Can't load my phone to computer

Hi

The reason you probably cannot get the drivers and utilities software for this device to load on a Vista computer is that the device is designed only for:

Windows 2003, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP.

I researched and scouted around for them without success, so I doubt any Vista Drivers exist for it.

I suggest you use it with an XP computer or you invest in a newer MP3 player that is definitely Vista compatible.

you will have to try using compatability mode to load and use these applications.

Below is a link to Microsoft's support site that outlines how to use compatability mode to load legacy (older) applications.

The HP software is only available through Vista; it might run in the compatibility mode but there are no guarantees. However, your camera will work with Windows using drivers built into Win7 (according to the Microsoft Compatibility Center). You will need to import images with Microsoft Paint (on your computer already), PhotoGallery (part of Windows Live which you need to download) or a third-party application.

For Paint, Import from Camera is under File. (Look for the line Import from Camera or Scanner.)

BTW the HP software is available here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1146325&lang=en& . Right click on the installer and choose Properties and the Compatibility Tab. Then right click again and choose Run as Administrator. You will then need to set the program to run as Vista compatible as well if it works at all.

If you are trying to install a software which is not vista compatible please follow the instructions,,
Right click on the setup file which you are trying to install and the properties tab, go to compatibility tab, put a check mark on run this program in cmpatibility mode for and select xp service pack 2. hit apply and try to install..

According to Umax this model is not compatible with Windows Vista. There is no vista driver/software & they have no plans of developing one. Sorry. Hope this helps & please take a moment to rate my solution. Thanks.

 Word is out that OS 6.01 can be installed for SJ20 to work sync in Vista even though Sony hasn't listed it as compatible.

It may be vista compatable but it may only be 32 bit compatable not 64 bit. Not sure but that may be your problem.

Go to www.microsoft.com and look for the Hardware Compatibility List. It list all of the hardware and software that is compatible with Vista. You may find an alternative to use.

Actually the problem is that your photo software dont support windows -vista. So if you want to know that it supports window vista......use google.com and find it that by now it supports vista or not..
