Sansa e200

There is one option, not really a fix, just a workaround. Try the player on a different computer computer and see if it is recognnised there. If it is, then use something like a pen drive to transfer music from the PC that doesnt recognise the device to another that does. Now you can transfer music using the WMPlayer sync service.

If your device is not being recognised on many computers, it looks like it is time to chuck it away. You can also try this first though..
1. Remove the player from the PC and switch it off.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Hold the +Volume button and connect to computer.
4. Keep the button pressed for at least 60 secs, and you should see the "Found New Hardware" balloon pop up, indicating that the device has been detected.

If even that fails, then I'm afraid your Sansa player has run its course, and you may need to purchase a new player...:(

Dumb me. I should have read the manual first, instead of just glancing through it.
You just turn the thumbwheel to adjust the volume.

Battery Recharge

"Removable drive" sounds like it got set back to MTC mode (USB mode in sansa settings menu). Needs to be in MTP mode to really be of any use. I have the e280 and it recharges fine when it's hooked up to my PC. It might be the battery, the connection, or the player. Also, it has to be a "high power" USB port on your PC (whatever that is). ie: If you're on a really old PC, there might not be enough juice getting through to the player. But if the rechargers don't work either.....
