Did you input the password with capitals? If you can't get in try going into your admin account. Most people haven't put a password on this account and it should open up and you can create a new account and switch users and retrieve info from your old account.Computer stores can usually reset your motherboard so you can get into your account.

If you are able to log on to admin account , then create another account and remove that password protected account.
If you do not have access to admin account then you have to Open the Hardware( i mean laptop) remove the CMOS Ic power Battery to unlock password.

even though if you don't want to that tedious task then just format your laptop.

just try this. reset the hardware EOC-3220 then,
in your internet explorer browser type, 192.168.1.1 when you get in, it will ask username and password
put admin in username and leave the password blank. or put admin in username same in password.

only type admin in password nothing in user name. Otherwise reset and do the above, it is the default.

Regarding my problem well it look me a while but I got there in the end. What I had to do was type in a password which is in the manual at the back 136900 & after that the DVD worked. The only slight problem I have though now is that when I do wana watch a region 1 DVD its asking for that password everytime I put one on, as long as it works all the time I should be ok.

The information he gave you was correct for a new DI-514 but if this has already been used it could be that the password was set. To take care of this problem, you can return the router to factory default settings by inserting a paper clip into the reset hole at the back (leave the router plugged in and turned on), hold it for ten seconds and then release. The router should reboot. Try the 192 and admin again.

If you are using WEP encryption there may be a key you need to enter in order to connect. This will be a long string of letters and numbers. You can find this by looking in the admin of the router under wireless security. I'm sure it's not asking for the admin password or something easy and small. It'll be asking for the wep key.

Try going in though its IP address to setup. In internet explorer, type in (with nothing else - NO http - NO www) just type: 192.168.1.1 - then use
username - type admin
password - type admin

That should get you in without using the cd software.
