Try "timed" cycles. If it shuts off on timed it's not the timer. It's more likely it's not cycling on the thermostat due to an airflow problem like the vent. To rule that out (or in) run ONE load through it with the vent disconnected. If it shuts off you'll know where to look
Im not 100% sure about Tempo dryers but some dryers have a "belt break switch" If the belt breaks, it will stop the dryer working. Lie the dryer on its front and take the back off to have a look. The rear panel often holds the drum in place, that's why it needs to be lying face down.
As everything in your dryer is working fine apart from it heating properly so the recommended repair will be thermal fuse/thermostat replacement. However, you can also test its continuity before replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
IN FIRST INSTANCE DONT JUST SWITCH OFF APPLIANCE - REMOVE PLUG FROM SOCKET AS WELL.
On rear of dryer their is a panel - under this panel lies the heater assembly and two protectors (TOC'S) it is more than likely that one of these has failed - Test with meter to find which one..
