I need to email a 9 page document, how can I do this. Thanks for your help. I have a lexmark 3 in 1 printer scanner.

Remove existing drivers from your computer and restart it
Install the newly downloaded drivers

Make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer. The software is available in the install disc that came with your printer. Scanning a document:
1 Make sure the printer is connected to a computer, and both the printer and the computer are on.
2 Load an original document faceup into the ADF or facedown on the scanner glass.
3 Press Scan Mode.
4 Press or repeatedly until the destination to which you want to scan appears.
5 Press Start Color or Start Black.
6 To scan multiple pages from the scanner glass, place successive pages face down on the scanner glass and
press Start Color or Start Black.

Hi. Here are the steps you need to do to send a scanned document/image using your default email application. Place your orinal document/image on the printer. Using the Productivity Studio software, click email, select the scan type (photo, several photos or document). Click start. Click create email to attach the file to the email message. There is no Fax built in to the Lexmark X3500-X4500 printer. You can use the Lexmark Imaging Studio software to scan documents and send them with fax.
See page 68 of the 3500-4500 Series User's Guide.
1 Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.
2 From the desktop, double-click the Lexmark Imaging Studio icon.
3 From the left pane of the Welcome screen, click Fax.
4 Select the Document option.
5 Click Start.

To scan from the platen glass:
1. Click the "Setting" icon on the multipass toolbar
2. Select "Toolbar Settings" tab
3.Under "Image Source", click the "Scan From" drop-down menu and select "Platen"

Open preview and go to file and then scroll down to "import from scanner" MFC should show up as a choice and then when the window appears, go ahead and pick your preferences and scan

Here are some instructions from the Lexmark X63 which was similar to the X125.

The Lexmark X63 uses a sheet fed scanner, intended to scan 8 1/2 x11 inch paper.

• To scan a document between 5 1/2 inches and 8 3/4 inches wide, center the document between the paper feed guides leading into the scanner and make sure the document is held straight,. Do not bend the document as it is fed into the scanner.
  
• To scan photos or pictures that are 5 1/2 inches wide or smaller, you will need to use a flatbed scanner, or "mat" the image into a regular letter-size paper and scan the entire page. When the scan process is complete, crop out the picture using the AUTO CROP option in the Scan and Copy Control program or the photo-editing software.
  

Thanks for the help. I followed your recommendation of uninstalling the Lexmark program and reinstalling it. Note that I had done this previously and still had the problem. However, following your advice, the third time must have been a charm. The problem has been solved.

Go to print setup and go to properties then adjust the settings to the full page . right click on the default printer icon to go to properties.

The issue you are referring could be due to number of reasons, it could be due to the printer was not set as default in the operating system or it could be due to the printer driver corrupt, missing or not installed. It sounds funny is it, cause you said that it says to place a document in the scanner to copy, you must be wondering at this point of time that if the scanner is installed how come the printer is not installed as it is a multifunction printer, however let me tell you that it does happen sometimes, the printer driver gets corrupt or missing however the scanner works just fine, This is just because when you install the printer driver the printer driver and the scanner driver are installed separately even if it is a multifunction printer, So lets first try few steps to check and isolate the issue, here is what you need to perform

1. Click start, point to printers and Faxes then click on it.
2. Once the printer and fax page is displayed try and locate the printer icon.

Note: If you find the printer P 6350 icon on the screen it means the driver for the printer is installed, however you need to check if the icon has a check mark on it. If you observe that the printer icon is available but it does not have a check mark, it means that the printer is not set as default printing device, so all you need to do is to right click on the printer and then click on the option “ set this printer as default” to fix the issue. In case if you do not find the printer icon on the page then you need to reinstall the printer driver using the driver disk.

After you are done appropriate steps mentioned above accordingly, you can try to print a test page just to confirm that the issue is fixed, to print a test page right click on the printer icon and then click on properties, select the option “ print a test page at the bottom of the window.
