I recieved a HP Officejet 6110 All-In-One from a friend without a CD to install it & my computer tries to connect but can not. Then it takes me to the manual where I find the list but it doesn't have this series. Do I need to just buy a CD or is there a place where can download a connection for free?

1 On the Windows taskbar, click Start, choose Programs or All Programs (XP), choose Hewlett-Packard, choose hp officejet 6100 series, then choose HP Uninstaller. 2 Follow the directions on the screen. 3 If you are asked whether you would like to remove shared files, click No. 4 After the program finishes removing the software, disconnect your HP OfficeJet, and restart your computer. 5.Do not reconnect the Officejet now 6 To reinstall the software, insert the HP OfficeJet 6100 Series CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive, and follow the instructions that appear. 7.After the software is installed reconnect the usb cable and allow the computer to detect and install the software
if you have download the driver you should be able to install with out the CD rom drive
you will need to go to www.hp.com support and drivers type in the the model office jet 6110 then the version of software click it and choose you operating system and down load software. I have included a link that should get you there.
