Cause
Answer:
When an error occurs the camera will display an error code like "Exx", where "x" represent numbers.
See the list items at the bottom of this page when it shows following error codes.
"E18" error of the target unit / lens barrel
"E30" and "E50" error of the CF or SD card
When an error code "Exx" different from those already mentioned, the camera off and then turn to try to capture or play back images.
If this error persists or an error code appears often, there was a malfunction of the camera.
Note the error code and contact the retailer where you purchased the camera or the nearest service center for Canon.
