Scanner i just installed the 2670 lexmark all in one printer. i was able to print a document.no problem. i can't find any instructions on how to use the scanner or what the buttons are for on the printer.

Please follow the steps below on how to scan using your Lexmark X2670 printer:

Using the printer control panel

1. Open the top cover, and then load an original document face down on the scanner glass.

2. Close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned image.

3. Make sure that the printer is connected to a computer, and that both the printer and the computer are on.

4. From the printer control panel, press the scan button.

5. Follow the instructions on the computer screen.

Using Windows

1. Open the top cover, and then load an original document face down on the scanner glass.

2. Close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned image.

3. Do one of the following:

• In Windows Vista, click > All Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.

• In Windows XP, click Start > Programs or All Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.

4. Click Lexmark Productivity Studio.

5. On the main screen, click Scan.

6. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Using Macintosh

1. Open the top cover, and then load an original document face down on the scanner glass.

2. Close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned image.

3. From the Finder desktop, double-click the printer folder.

4. Double-click the 2600 Series Center.

5. From the "What is being scanned?" list, choose the type of document to be scanned.

6. Click Scan.

Please download and install the scan driver from support.lexmark.com. After installing the scan driver, please check the scanner under Imaging Device from device manager. If scanner shows under imaging devices, open the scanning program and scan a document.

Check your System scanner application is running. Open the End Task manager select the tab process and see there may be scanner.exe is there select that one and click end task.

hi, just download and install the Lexmark S-300 scanner driver. you can search it on Google or re-install your Lexmark S-300 all in one scanner.

Might be a driver issue. Uninstall the Lexmark software properly by following the steps found on this link: http://bit.ly/9CWdbY. Once pc is ready, check if your Vista is running on 32-bit or 64-bit by clicking on the Windows logo Start button > right click on Computer > Properties. Leave the printer disconnected from your computer for the meantime. To reinstall, I suggest you use the updated driver from the Lexmark website. Hello. The scanner enables you to scan and print photos, text documents, magazine articles, newspapers, and other publications. You can also scan a document for faxing. The scan software must be installed in your computer. Use the installation cd that came with the printer to install the software. With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install :
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the sofware asks for the printer connect it and continue
