Hey there, The problem is probably related to the wifi connection. When the signal being sent is interupted the printer will cancel the job. Try setting it up with a cable instead and see if that resolves your print issue. The wrinkly paper issue maybe due to you using a paper weight thinner than it would like.Try a heavier stock and ensure the paper is loaded evenly and guides are set correctly on the sides.
This seems to be a problem with a lot of laptops, I get it too. How to fix this is quite simple.
Go to your control panel on laptop.
Look for Hardware and sound then click on View Devices and printers.
You should see a list of said devices and printers. See if you have the printer listed twice.
If you do , you must delete one. The one to delete is the non default printer. This should cure the problem.
Hope this helps
Excellent question. Wish I had the answer. I have the same problem with the MFC-7440N. I hook up my old HL 1240 and it prints them fine, so I now use two printers - one for envelopes and one for normal printing. I contacted Brothers and was told that it was not the printer, but the Application. If so, then why does my old Brothers printer work? They do not have the answer.
'why i cannot cannot connect printer my network have some alitle bit computer that cannot connect and other can. I already check Computer Name, IP and WORKGROUP. but when i ping to computer that has printer it work. How should i do about this or this printer share only alittle.
Have you tried to reinstall the old cartidge to see if it would give a different problem ( light print ect.) if not try that. If the problem stays and you just can't communicate with the printer try rebooting you computer or go to www.hp.com/support to download a new print driver. I hope this helps you.
Sounds like their is not communications between your printer and computer. Could be a bad USB cable - swap out and see if that fixes it. If not it could be a faulty USB port on the computer or printer. You can check the computer USB port by connecting another device, but there is no way to check the HP's USB port. I would also check printer USB port for dust bunnies! If you're not able to resolve, I think it is time for another printer.
