Should be a button for source on tv or remote or some brands have it in channel down button, once you get to channel 1 it gives other inputs such as HDMI, AV ect
These are AV connections! When connected with the component phono leads turn on TV, then turn on the PS1 then select AV on the remote to select the AV channel!
The
PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high-definition gaming console that supports
both standard AV connections and high-resolution connections (such as
HDMI). Most of the older Philips TVs come with a standard AV input.
Newer, flat-panel Philips TVs include standard AV inputs and
high-resolution inputs. To get the best video quality
out of your PS3, using an HDMI connection is recommended if the option
is available. The PS3 does not include an HDMI cable, only a standard AV
cable
2
Connect the flat end of the PS3 AV cable into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the PS3.
3
Connect the "red," "white" and "yellow" prongs on the
opposite end of the PS3 AV cable into the corresponding "red," "white"
and "yellow" AV inputs on the TV (usually located on the side or in the
back).
4
Press the "Source" button on the Philips TV remote.
5
Select the "AV" video display mode.
6
Turn on the PS3. The PS3 logo will appear on the screen.
Try the following blog. It has detailed instructions on how to fix a common problem on this JVC TV series. I did and I fixed my TV for 2 bucks at home.
If your connecting the likes of a DVD player, Virgin, Sky etc to your Tv via a scart. Then these should turn your tv onto the required Av channel automatically as a scart send power to the Tv.
Just make sure that you have everything connected up first of all before you turn the power on. Then what I would suggest you do is turn the TV on first then turn the DVD, Cable, Sky on after the tv is already on this should then change to the AV your appliance is connected to.
Hope This helps you out. Please Leave a thumbs up if this clarify things for you.
this might not be your old tv doing this have you got the right av cords in Standard AV cord are red, white and yellow then there is HD AV cords that are blue, green ect. make sure you have the right set of AV cord in you tv then at the back of the xbox 360 the part of the av cord that plugs in there is a little switch turn it to Standard or HD this should fix you problem.
I have a sts92 system and run the tv sound through it for surround sound. My Tv has an AV out option, so I ran component cable from the AV out on the TV to the AV in on the sts92. When watching TV, turn on the theater system and set the function to AV in.
