Maytag PYE3300AZW Dryer ran great shut off after 10 min.Willnot start again. Power to dryer is there. Took it apart, brought the door switch in to test it works. There is a live wire on the Timer Wire Harness connected to the motor if you short it out the dryer works normal. Any idea what is wrong? How do I test the thermal fuse? Control Thermostat?Or the Timer.Where to even sart? Any help would be appreciated live 1.5 hrs from a small town do it yourself is usully the easiest way.

You have an open thermal fuse la1053 located on the right lower side of the heating element housing, it opens when the temp reaches 300 degrees f . this is telling us that the air flow is not good, lint buildup inside the filter housing in the door is a good place to start and or kinked vent hose or venting problem

I have a maytag Neptune NDE3000AYW and the dryer turns on, runs for a few seconds and stops. took it apart and cleaned all the lint and dust. after a while it will run again for a few seconds and stop. ...

Check the door switch. It may be at fault here. Open the door and hold the switch by hand and start the dryer. The switch should have a firm resistance to it when you push it. If you should find this bad, here is the replacement switch. If the switch is ok, then the motor is bad. Here is the motor to order.

Keep me posted!

General Electric Heavy Duty Dryer willnot start when start button

WARNING: High Voltage may bzzt you... careful.

Your dryer thinks that it is at the end of a dry cycle.

First thing to do is disconect the dryer from the 220v mains and let it sit for about 10 min.

then, spin the timer four or five times around and then stop it at a TIMED dry cycle, not an automatic cycle. (example: 60 minutes).

Plug unit back into the wall.

SLAM door on unit and press button again...

DYRER PROBLEMS

i took the top off checked all the wiring, cleaned the back vents, and the vent tube going outside. I also cleaned the lint screen and gaurd really good, put it all back together. I also unplugged the dryer waited a few minutes and plugged back in. The dryer had a code flashing saying it lost power, I reset the dryer and it has been working great now. Evedently it must be sensitive.
