Sounds like you may have loaded DRM protected tracks.

Using My Computer or Windows Explorer, go to a folder containing tracks you have loaded on to the SA6045.

Click on the Views icon, and select details.

Right-click on on of the headings which have just appeared (Name, Size, etc.) and click the tick box to select protected.

Any files which show "Yes" under the protected heading will not play on the SA6045.

If you have ripped the tracks using Media Player, you can turn off the protection when ripping. In Windows Media Player, click on tools -----> options.

Click the Rip Music or CD Ripping tab, and remove the tick next to "Copy Protect Music". Any further files will be created without the DRM protection.

Creating Playlists for GoGear Aria 8gb player

If you want to make a new playlist for your 8 gig GoGear Aria, all you have to do is highlight the songs you want to add, then right click the mouse and choose create playlist. Name the new playlist then cut and paste it into "Playlist" in the music choices and there you go. No WMP needed.

i just had a similar problem today when i tried to add a bunch of videos. i just let mine go to the gogear screen and then left it on while i went to work. when i came back and tried to restart it again, it worked fine. it just needed time to catch up i guess. hopefully the same thing will work for you. good luck

MP3 files will not transfer to my SA6045/02

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Philips GoGear SA6087/37 8GB won't sync songs anymore.

I had the same problem and sadly the only way to fix it is to go through and bring the mp3 player back to factory settings:\ it sucks but its the only way it will work.

Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player doesnt register.

I worked on this thing (sa6045) for three hours................no luck. Finally got a fix.....Go to programs add/remove menu under control panel and delete Philips device manager. Then go to Philips site and download new driver:http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?scy=US&slg=AEN&mid=Link_Software&cat=MP3_PLAYERS_CA&sct=SU00304_SU&grp=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR&session=20080506223817_68.47.250.64&ctn=SA6045/37&dct=PAL&did=AEN&file=/files/s/sa6045_37/sa6045_37_dmr_aen.htm

Install your new driver and be SURE windows media player is not running or trying to sync.If it is running in background philips device manager will not work.Once new driver is installed you can pull up the repair panel and do a hard reset thru software on your Sa6045.

Good Luck
