So i have a 96 cadillac eldorado with a ten disk sony changer mounted in the trunk and it keeps saying E-99 i already unjammed the disk becuase it was stuck on it but i cannot find the reset button on it n e where i herd it was a little whole on the module so idk if thier refering to the disk changer in the trunk or the remote on the dash??

Cadillac 93 to 2002 99 eldorado caddy trunk won close all the way down...

try removing the fuse for the radio antenna also check all the power seat switches both fron seats to make sure none are stuck

there are two of them by the looks of it. one on the left front of engine compartment and the other is in the trunk. here are a couple pictures, hope this helps.

hi i recently bought a lexus ls400 and it the trunk it has a ten disc cd changer by the steering wheel in the car is this little black box that keeps reading E-99 evertime i press play on this odd little box that is the control device to make the cd's play i've put the cd 's in the changer upside down right side up testing it and still the little black cd player play button/disc change button keeps saying E-99 my question is, is it a fuse or is this cd player thing near the stearing wheel just a peiece of garbage please contact me at [email protected] if you have any idea why this is doing this because i can't play any cd's theres no cd player where the cd/tape decks usually are in cars in the middle above the column shift. it would mean the world to me if you could help me out with any information as to why this brand new sony ten disc cd changer is giving issues to the cd player thing next to the stearing wheel on the right it's kind of hidden but it just won't stop saying e-99 no matter how brand new a cd i put in the changer thank you your friend john bunce

If you look in the trunk compartment on the right side pull back the carpet trace a wire down into the floor pan of the trunk with a ten pin connector that is the cd changer connector they are all prewired with them in the trunk.

Have you unhooked the battery since you put the freon in? If not, do it.

you have 4 o2 sensors on the new one 2 in front of catylitic converter and 2 after on the exhaust

There is corrosion at the positive battery cable and the terminal is probably  about to fall out of the battery. Clean battery terminals, replace bolts and spacer if applicable and recommend battery replacement 

On the 96, so far I've found two locations for fuse boxes. The first is on the drivers side in the engine compartment behind the air filter housing. there is a plastic shield.

The other place is a PITA to get to. Get into the truck and remove the cloth lining from the back of the seats. It's on the passengers side. To remove this cloth, there are four or five bolts on the underneight side of the trunk deck (get in the trunk, look up).

I think there is one more place inside, but I can't find it. It might be under the dash or in one of the kick panels. Still looking for it. Crazy ole GM.
