In short-No. However, there is a way... The Z-5500 5.1 digital system is a propietary system which basically makes it a single 'unit' to put it simply. It may be possible for you to locate a replacement Control Unit from an individual on some place like e-bay or Craigslist, but Logitech warranty will NOT replace just the control unit itself. What they will do; totally contingent on the year of manufacture as to whether your system is covered under warranty, which is 2 years, and also very very critical that you provide the correct PID # located on your Control Unit as this acts as a S/N number for the aforementioned "unit" aspect and different model revisions and updates/upgrades are all made in the same manufacturing plant to ensure compatibility amongst your individual system and ONLY the same units/speakers made in that factory under any particular version number. The information I offered you here will hopefully provide someone a heads up so you don't have to deal with the 6 week headache I went through JUSt to get the proper # for the proper department that can assist me.
