NOW OPC error my Tascam CD-RW750 Only using a cd-rw

All I can think of is to try other makes of blank discs. Also, if your machine ever comes up 'ERROR' and you have no control of any functions including powering it off or on-remove the plug from the wall and wait about a minute, then plug it back in.

Toshiba cd-rw/dvd-rom drive...power on but disc door will not actvate and open

Hello,
There are quite a few reasons the DVD tray in your laptop might fail to open when you hit the eject button. About the worst thing it can be is if the motor or gear train failed, which would mean replacing the drive. If the disc in the drive plays OK, you know that the power and the connector are fine. If not, you should try reseating the drive in the bay. It's also possible for the drive to be locked in software by the operating system, or for a power management scheme to have cut power to the drive. Check these by right clicking the drive icon and checking properties, or looking at you power management settings. But, when all else fails and you can't get the disc out of the drive, there's always, THE MIGHTY PAPERCLIP.

Follow the bellow link,

Hope this helps,

Dvd/cd-rw combo does not record

You may have what is called a combo drive...it can play and burn cds but can only play dvds, not burn them. Look at the face plate on the drive and see what is written on it. If it has the following:
Recordable Drive = CD Burner
DVD = DVD Player
RW & DVD = DVD Burner

If recordable drive and DVD is on the drive but no RW, chances are its a combo drive. Keep us posted.

Hey,

There is a small hole in the cd / dvd drive tray, you can use a needle or something small to push in, it will eject the drive tray and the cd.

Thanks,

My dvdrom drive wont let me access the drive

ITs a dvd rom drive. It will not burn blank dvds
in order to burn, it has to cd-r/cd-rw/dvd-r/dvd-rw. If a drive cannot write to a blank disc, it will eject it. Rom drives read only (Read Only Memory), Combo drives- burn cd's only read dvd's, and super drives both read and write to cds and dvds.
