HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer Logo
Posted on Apr 10, 2008

FAX I have a 7410 that works great but, there is a problem when I try to fax or receive a fax from certain fax machines that the system does not receive or fax to that machine. I get a double beep and that ends it. I am missing faxes and know that some of my faxes are not making it. I am running Vonage and have called them a reset the printer but it is still not working. Any ideas?

When trying to send a fax, the screen displays, "Send fax failed". I never hear a dial tone and the device never seems to start the scanning process of the documents I have loaded. I've gone through HP's on-line support tips, and none seem to help.

Again with the 7410 All-in-One, the screen says "Send fax failed". I got some tips from HP site that had me clear out the system memory, basically resetting everthing. Now there is nothing in the fax log anymore. I can't seem to get the error code number either. Everthing else works perfectly, copying, scanning, printing... Just when I go to send a fax the same message appears. I've tried everything, does anyone know of a solution? PLEASE HELP!

My 7410 All in One has stopped receiving faxes. It beeps twice and then nothing comes through. This office has lost the manual, and I'm clueless as to what to do to get the faxes to start coming through again.

Go into your set up (above the ok button and print report/fax log and see if they are showing up there. If not I do not believe it is a printer issue.

I'm not receiving certain faxes. How do I ensure they will all be sent to me?

Dear
Pl. check the memory received., If your fax setting is not done for memory setting i.e. when you receive a fax that immediately printed .Then the fax machine is right some times voice calls also generated if it was given earlier for that or used for voice call, so caller may try to communicate for voice call and got the fax tone (as the fax machine is in auto mode),he simple disconnect the line.
and fax machine may display some error message.
Thanks.

Hello my fax machine keeps giving me error codes how do I fix this, I need my fax machine. thank you

Hit the setup button, select fax setup or setup fax, and make sure the option to "Junk" fax blocker is off. The default when you setup the machine itself is on yes. This helped me with my "error 410" message I received when printing fax log.

Not receiving fax- line is busy to all senders

Go to menu option and choose the option fax and set the parameter like auto receive or manual set the ring auto answer mode after certain ring. If it is in auto receiving mode it will receive the fax after the ring which you set. Make sure the phone wire which you insert in fax machine getting proper dial tone and getting out going calling facility.

Hp officeject 7410 fax

Check to make sure all the phones attached to that phone number are on the hook.. sometimes an answering machine can create a problem also.. if you really want to check the printer / fax machine out, just remove all the phones that exist on that phone line and leave the fax machine connected. once all the phones have been removed and the 7410 is still acting up, you might have a bad fax card in the printer.

HP 7410 fax tone when answering machine starts

you can only have it set to fax or phone at a time; the computer does not know if it is a fax or phone call. Therefore if you are running your fax software it will treat all calls as a fax. You really need two phone lines, one for the fax and one for the phone.

Can't receive fax but can send

Call your cell phone from the fax machine and check the caller ID to make sure that it is the correct number for your fax machine. Next, call the fax machine from you cell phone, and make sure the fax machine rings. Problems like these are almost always a phone line issue, not the machine.
