Question about Syntax Olevia 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Green/red light on and off and coloring

Hi, I have this Syntax Olevia TV and it does turn after about and hour and it blinks the red and green light and cannot turn it back on unless I unlplug it for at least 5 mins. Also, the coloring of the TV has reddish hue and using the color adjusters does not help. We have replaced the bulb as suggested by others and it has done nothing. What do you recommned? We have only had this TV for 2 years.....

I have a olevia tv and the color of the tv is green how can i fix the color ,after comcast fix something in the signal the tv color is green

I have a 532-b12 so it may be the same - but not sure. Push the small round "menu" button on the remote. A pinwheel should show up in the upper left corner. Use the up/down and left/right arrows to go to picture. From there, you can change, saturation, color, contrast, etc.

Tv won't turn on. It blinks green then red.

Hi,
Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?
Thanks.

I have a Syntax Olevia LT20HVK that the power light flashes.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

New lamp still blinking red light

I phoned Olevia and the Tech support said that if the Red light Flashes 3 times and the Green light flashes once and then this process is repeated - it means the Lamp is no good.

Tech Guy also said that this TV should never be placed near a Window/door - no sunlight!

My TV is doing the same thing and I need to get a lamp - they want $110 for the lamp.

Where did you buy the lamp from? How much did it cost?

Flashing green and red light

Sounds like a power suppply problem. Not something that the novice can repair besides trying the usual unplugging and plugging back in.
