A number of this type of JVC projectors had issues with defective soldering to a large capacitor on the pc board in the power supply which could cause such an intermittent prob. Some models also had a similar issue, but one lead of the capacitor was actually broken when inserted at the factory. You would need a tech to look at this, unless you are capable.
Good Day sir/maam, my guess are several, lets start at the common ones, make sure that the AV cables are good. you can try swapping cables to make sure. If possible try the cables on other units such as any DVD player. There is a possibility that the sound jack, is bad, try to vibrate the plugged cable, and see if the sound goes back if it does, you need to solder the terminals. Worse is the Amplifier section of the TV. does the TV sound normal on broadcast? check the volume, mute. or the TV setup. hope this helps. if you have additional info please feel free to ask again, let me know any progress. thanks
You may have a convergence problem that means, there may be convergence ic's bad or related components. If you know something about tv's, try checking things out. You can get a repair manual from websites to download. If you do not normally fix tv's the best thing is to call a tv repair technician.
thats how my stared than got worse i call for service and got fix after
4 moths had the same problem and i called the same guy again at firs he
told me that the convergence was bad and replaced them i think there
are three pieces but than the second time he took the box inside the
tv he checked all the circuits and the board and he found out the
something else was getting real hot and was causing that the
convergence to bad now he fixed hope i got no more problems
the flashes are a diagnostic blink code, tells a tech what the general area of the problem is, you of course have a shorted or open component in your set but thats all I can tell you because you didn`t give the blink count,
