From the battery run the wire though the fire wall u can find it on the driver side most of the time look for a big rubber gromet in the metal and from there run it under all the carpit and to the trunk its really simple hope that helps

Where can i run a power wire for an amp in a '99 buick regal?

Power wire for an amp is usually ran from the battery through the firewall to the location of the amp. GM is pretty good about having a hole for running cables through the firewall. Check the size of the cable, and locate a hole where the cable will fit, then slide it through to the cabin of the car and run it where it needs to be. Ground wire is typically tied in to the chassis.

Very rarely will one have to drill a hole from firewall to the cabin if there isn't a pre drilled hole.

The fuses in my amp are good and so is my inline fuse from the batter, the thermal light is on but the amp is far from overheated. what can i do?

Not big enough gauge of ground wire. You should always match the ground wire gauge with your power wire gauge.

Dirty or burnt ground wire ends
Bad place of where ground wire connected

the load you on the amp might be lower that the lowest ohms it can handle...

Fuse blew on on cable coming from batter, replaced fuse now my kenwood excelon ddx7015 and amp xxv-02a wont power up , but when i test the fuses they have power

What size fuse are you using? You need a 30-
amp at least and #8 to #10 wire I would go
with the # 8 maybe lower, if it blows a fuwse
now you have a shorted output in your amp.
May This Will Help.

Amp. and Sub install on a 2006 Jeep Gand Cherokee

Your best bet is to actually drill a hole through the firewall and istall a rubber grommet to protect the wire. If this isn't really an option, you might try locating the places the wiring harness and spedometer cable go through the firewall, or where the shifter goes through the transmission tunnel. The main thing is to protect the wire from heat and rubbing against metal. Hope this helps :)

96 Cougar routing amp power cable through firewall.

if you look at the firewall area you usually can see rubber or plastic black plugs to run wiring to the passenger compartment; look by the left side kick panel on the floor next to your brake pedal; good area to drill if you have to ; make sure you insulate any cable or power supply going through the firewall so the wire is protected from rubbing or vibration

Firewire from batter to amp huyndia accent 2001 gs

There are holes in the firewall, however they have grommets and are sometimes hard to see. You can normally run wires on the drivers side under the steering wheel area, as to the fact that most fuse boxes are in this area and there are wires that run through the firewall here.
