When i turn up the volume to a certain point, it slowly fades out and distorts. What gives?

Are you talking about a cd player? My friend had a Kenwood and it would overheat and the sound would fade and distort. I believe his radio only did it in the winter (when he had the heat on.) If yours is overheating I'm not sure of how to fix it, but I'm thinking that may be the issue you are having.

The battery for my Kia Optima (2004) recently died. After that my rear speakers will not work. I've messed with the PIoneer (DEH-3200UB) stereo system audio options. All the fade and balance does is affect...

Obviously there's short somewhere or radio have short out. You can change the radio one from junk yard or test each speaker individually @ where the connect to the radio. Want to go even more advance. Get a mutlimeter and check it resistance or etc. If it's the radio that's faulty try unplugging it and plug. The purpose of fade is to fade and distribute the the sound in speakers there for won't help with the problem. You can even use a aa battery to check speaker. If speaker faulty get one out the junkyard.

What outputs should be used for connecting an amp. lineout, rear-no fade, or rear

The answer to your question is it depends. If you are connecting regular speakers to the amp then I would tell you to use rear. If you are using the amp for a subwoofer then use the rear no fade. Hope this helps.

After the recent purchase and professional installation of a used Nakamichi CD 700, I noticed my front speakers weren't working. Activating the fader adjust I noticed that when I turned the knob...

I would recommend taking it back to the pro that installed it given it hasn't been to long. Also the deck should be warrantied and if the front side is not working I would consider that a faulty head unit. I know Nakamichi head units are not cheap.

Go back to the store you purchases it from or contact Nakamichi directly at the link below:

Speakers Crack at mid to high volume (anything over level 20)

make sure speakers are connected properly to individual speaker outputs from radio .Also make sure speaker cables going to speakers are not pinched or shorted anywhere

The sound from my speaker fades in and out, but the handset works fine.

Since this problem just started, I would first check to make sure there is nothing stuck inside the mic's port. Also, if you have a fan on in the room, that can also cause your speaker to fade in volume.

I say both of these because if the phone thinks you're saying something, your speaker will fade in volume. Whether you're talking or it's just air noise, the volume will fade.

Durango radio fade problems

Your front speakers are more than likely blown. They make all kinds of different models and price ranges to look at. This gives you a good opportunity to upgrade your stock speakers to handle what your throwing at it.

Cant get but one side to work

This amp (kenwood  819)  was designed for use with a sub-woofer, hence the single chanel. It will however power up 4 speakers in mono, and if they are capable of handling the amps.while robbing you of the benefits of stereo as well as left, right and fade control.Good luck...
If you still want it connected. You should purchase an amp installation kit, and review the topics and videos at this web site. www.installdr.com

Good luck...

Kenwood cd player is making static noise, if the fade is not all the way foward

you could possibly have a speaker wire shorted out, a bare piece of the wire touching metal somewhere that the insulation has worn. and it would be in the rear speaker wires. you might also check for a blown speaker this could cause the problem also.
