This is hard to describe but will try. I was able to print
day before yesterday, got up yesterday and could not get it
to print at all. I removed the printer software, hoping to solve the problem and ran it again.Still no luck. All connections are like they should be, this A.M. I can print
from an e-mail, but will not print from a site I am trying
to print from. I was able to print from this same site
2 days ago. Probably some little thing I am missing, sorry!
Go to start menu/programs/accessories/system tools / system restore, and do a system restore to over one week ago, when the printer was working. Go on ebay & shop for a new PowerPak. That is your first step. If the battery is completely down from not charging is the exact symptoms you described.
Hard to deduce but it could be a issue with the BIOS/CMOS chip too.
Is the Vaio still under warranty ? If no then unfortunately, would need to have it checked again at the service center and follow those guys :(.
If its showing past time than that indicates (1) the CMOS battery is dead (2) Motherboard circuitry has issues.
first see if that ip address is taken by any other device... than the one who is sopposed to have it... if it is not then you need to reset you your linksys by plugging out the power and plugging it back in... if that doesn't work then you need to do a hard reset with the reset button...
Sounds to me like your hard drive is going bad if disk errors are starting to be reported.
Try restoring the laptop back to factory defaults. Reason for this is because if your hard drive is good and your operating system is corrupt then this would fix the problem with the OS.
If your hard drive is bad then it won't restore back to factory defaults cause it will error out on you and you'll know at that point that the hard drive is bad cause it has bad sectors on it that it cant write to.
