Printing trouble My OKI ML 521 Elite prints in one direction only and, besides, every other time.

Hi,
Go to Start->Printers and Faxes or Start->Control Panel->Printer and faxes.
Then right click on your OKI printer and click Set as Default Printer.
Word will now print to this printer.

You have the Printer emulation set incorrectly. I think it comes as IBM as default and you should try Epson instead. Its a trial and error thing but am sure emulation is incorrect.

Check the menu settings in the printer is the emulation set the same as your previous printer.

Print the Menu Setting out on printer and menu setting out on pc. Match sure emulation matcheds on both sides. If using serial make sure serial settings match on both sides. If parallel, check the bois on the PC, change parallel port type to EPP instead of ECP or SPP.

What driver are you using for this printer? Try loading a Epson LQ1050 driver and try again.

the lid has 2 small points the holds down 2 censors that indicate when it is off, make sure that there are not broken and that the censors are being engaged.

Your printers alignment is out that is why it prints only in one direction.

Try printing the menu like this -With power on press the "Shift" tand "Select" button, a red menu light will pop up on the touch panel ! than press the "Print" button on the touch panel-this will print out the current settings of your printer.
