Question about Brother MFC 7420 All-In-One Laser Printer
We're based in Dublin and have an office location in Amsterdam that isn't able to receive or faxes. However, other companies in Amsterdam receive them just fine. Now, this problem location is receiving faxes from other companies just fine also....just not from us! So we're saying it's their fax machine, and they're saying it's ours! (we have a Philips 925 sheet fed laser fax).
The only thing that I can see being different is the way the faxes sound when calling them from a normal land line. Could it be an incompatible signal that the brother fax is using to connect to the philips? because the philips fax can send to the brother, but the brother can't send to the philips....
The problem may be that the other company is running VoIP for their phone system. The Brother MFC 7420 is documented for not having VoIP compatibility as a marketed feature. In other words they were too cheap to include it. However, with that said there is a work around. I have include the link that may be helpful in resolving this issue.
