SOURCE: ms paint stop working

There doesn't seem to be an easy way to reinstall MS Paint. Other people in the same fix were told to try this as a substitute:
http://www.getpaint.net/download.html

If I were in your shoes, though, I wouldn't worry so much about Paint. I'd worry about whatever caused the corruption, and is anything else corrupted? This may be a good time to try some free anti-virus/anti-spyware software and make sure you don't have problems from that quarter. If you don't have any antivirus software, this one generally works for me, and has reasonably good reviews:
AVG Free edition, http://free.grisoft.com (keep going through menus to get the free one; they really try to market the paid version.)

There are several good anti-spyware programs out there. Make sure you update before running scans. The two that have worked the best for me:
Spybot S&D / Spybot Search & Destroy, scroll down a bit here:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Again, run the updates before you scan. It's not a bad idea to run the anti-spyware stuff regularly -- weekly, monthly, somewhere in between.

Error in ms office

Rename and Reinstall the Vbe6.dll File

NOTE: You need your Office CD-ROM to complete this task.
  1. Quit all currently open programs.
  2. Start an MS-DOS prompt in a window by doing one of the following:
    • Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows 98: Click Start, point to Programs, and then click MS-DOS Prompt.
    • Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me): Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click MS-DOS Prompt.
    • Microsoft Windows NT 4.0: Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Command Prompt.
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP: Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
  3. To change the directory to the location of the Vbe6.dll file, type one of the following (including the quotation marks), and then press ENTER: CD "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Vba\Vba6"-or- CD progra~1\Common~1\Micros~1\Vba\Vba6NOTE: This is the default directory for the Vbe6.dll file. If you installed Microsoft Office into another drive or directory, you must type its path.
  4. To unregister the Vbe6.dll file, type the following.

In Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me, type: C:\Windows\System\REGSVR32 /U VBE6.DLLIn Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP, type: REGSVR32 /U VBE6.DLL-or- C:\Winnt\System32\REGSVR32 /U VBE6.DLLNOTE: This is the default directory for the Windows System directory. If you installed Windows into another directory, you must type its path.
  5. In the MS-DOS prompt window, rename Vbe.dll to Vbe.old by typing the following and then pressing ENTER: rename vbe6.dll vbe6.old
  6. Quit the MS-DOS prompt window. To do this, do one of the following:
    • Type Exit at the command prompt, and then press ENTER. -or-

    • Click Close (the X in the upper-right corner of the window).
  7. Start Microsoft Word.
  8. On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Macros.

The Windows Installer detects that the Vbe6.dll file is missing on the system, installs the file from the Office CD, and registers it again.

I tried to download MS Paint from control panel/add/remove windows components but when i click on add/remove windows components a message appears stating that "SETUP WAS UNABLE TO OPEN INFORMATION FILE...

1. Open a cmd line
2. start
3. then click on run, type "cmd" in the box then ok.
4. When the cmd box pops up c:>
5. type: c:>\windows\inf\sysoc.inf
6. when the note pad window pops up scroll down till you see the line:

TabletPC=tabletoc.dll,TabletSetupProc,Tabletpc.inf,HIDE,7

It would be wise to save the "TabletPC=tabletoc.dll,TabletSetupProc,Tabletpc.inf,HIDE,7" string to replace if anything goes wrong.

Just cut and paste in word etc and you can just paste it back in the sysoc notepad if anything weird happens, OR

7. Simply highlight this then delete it. Now hit save in the file option tab. Close the window and now you should have access to the change or delete files in the control panel..

if this works for you let me know

Excel stops responding during the saving process

There may be following one or more reasons:-

1. MS office 2007 is currupt
2. System has a virus
3. Windows OS is currupt. (Make sure you are running MS Windows Xp SP2)

Here is the solution:-
1. Scan system with a good legal antivirus
2. Repair OS using utilities win Doctor or from win Xp installation disk (upgrade)
3. Repair MS Office 2007 by going Office Button --> Options --> Resources --> run Microsoft Diagnostics

Runtime errors

Solution:

i) usually whenever there is virus, spyware, ... in your system some of the .dll will be lost or will lead to curruption or partial currption(some data or all the data in the .dll will be lost)

ii) as such some .dll files are heart or important to run system, some .dll files play mere role.

iii) when such .dll files are lost the program using these .dll files cannot locate or find their .dll files in such you get errors message as u said......

iv) as u debuging is not possible in the normal way until unless you have some debugging program or software such as "Visual Studio 2005" or Visual BASIC TOOLS....

v) due to loss of some important .dll files your system might shutdown frequently..... but you are fortunate that you are getting error message....and these .dll play mere role....

vi) i would suggest to install some best rated antivirus, spyware( Bit Defender -rated top, AVG, Norton....) after perform full system scan try reinstall your OS or format your system or load OS Freshly....

Thanking you

MS wireless laser keyboard 5000

Go to the Hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\hidserv\parameters, ServiceDll parameter defines the path to the file hidserv.dll that is needed to make sound+\- key workable. I searched for that file on my computer and found it at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ , but ServiceDll registry parameter pointed at %SystemRoot%\System32\hidserv.dll, so I changed it's value to %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\hidserv.dll, rebooted my computer and solved the problem;)
