It's difficult for any techie to diagnose an occasional crash without seeing your computer at the time it crashes. Kind of like going to a doctor and saying "my leg hurt last month. Know why?" Also, you don't say what type of computer you have, PC or Mac.
That said, there are some "first steps" you should take, and, since you own a DS-4000, you should contact your Olympus dealer, since they're obligated to provide you with customer support (although it may not be free):

  1. May sure your software is up-to-date. Get the latest version to make sure you're not the victim of a bug. After you install the update, restart your computer for good measure.
  2. Turn off any applications or task bar tools that you're not using, particularly those that deal with cameras, scanners or memory cards. Adobe Photodownloader is a common culprit, as it interferes with the DS-4000, thinking it is a camera with a memory card.
  3. Update your Operating System. Always. Sometimes, the bugs are not with the Olympus equipment, but with Windows or MacOSX.
Good luck.

My pc keeps either freezing or crashing altogether, this only seems to happen when i am surfing facebook ,or pictures on the web,I can watch youtube,or movies with no crashes at all,I've scanned for viruses...

Im guessing XP and if you have the CD do whats called a repair install. Choose the upgrade option then install it, this will not harm any of your programs at all you will just have to do all the windows updates when its finished. Cheers and please vote

Can your Hardware (network/monitor) cause your computer to freeze, crash/restart on its own? The reason I ask is the I'm trying to fix a computer that when use online it seems to freeze/crash at first I...

Of course, but it should be a major failure that would make them practically unusable - not your case. You most likely use IE and it's a POS that crashes with regularity when it's encountering a more demanding site. Just use another browser and your problem  will go away. Don't forget to scan your pc for malware before.

I select a game an it just crashed 9/10 timees it crashes

It would be helpful if you could give a little more info than just "I select a game an it just crashed 9/10 timees it crashes"

Ideally what software/hardware you are using, what happens when it crashes like hanging, switching off or freezing. what games you are trying and what platform they are...

you cant honestly expect a resolution without the relevant information. Reply in more detail and i will see what i can do for you.

Restore deleted NDS games

Open the sd card up, click on games and drag & drop the saved games in. Make sure the saved games are not compressed with a zip file.Next time also try copying and saving the whole card system as sometimes the cards can crash.
